This is a fantastic adventure-mystery novel full of steampunk versions of their real historical selves. Action, mystery, comic-relief, steam-powered and clockwork wonders, brilliant setting, and a story that will knock your top hat off!
I don't want to give anything away, so I will say "the main character's assistant." He is hilarious, fearless, clever, and dapper.
The adventure of multiple lifetimes!
I have been looking for a quintessential book for this genre and hit the jackpot here!
This version of Ender's Game is more from the adults' perspective instead of Ender's. This is a very unnecessary retelling of an obviously successful book. The performances were fine, but it seemed less impactful and scary when not told from a 6 year old's view.
I would recommend the free version for sure, to judge the book for yourself. But I would recommend reading the original book first if you want to read both. This book will absolutely kill the original if you read it second.
The full cast is a great idea. It was nice to have Grath's voice back, but the other characters aren't as ruthless as they are in the original.
I have seen the movie, so yes.
