In this overly censored times we live in, where on TV it is okay to see a person?s brains splatter against the wall in the most violent of details. But to see a breast is bad. It is like a breath of fresh air to listen to Susie tell it like it is.

I've been labelled as being very sexually knowledgeable. Little do they know that I only listen to Susie .... for that past two years.

Mindset is one of those rare audio books that can help you make positive changes in your life and at the same time see the world in a new way. A leading expert in motivation and personality psychology, Carol Dweck has discovered in more than 20 years of research that our mindset is not a minor personality quirk: it creates our whole mental world. It explains how we become optimistic or pessimistic. It shapes our goals, our attitude toward work, and ultimately predicts whether or not we will fulfull our potential.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book was originally recommended to me. It is one of those ideas which are strikingly simple as are all great ideas. All my life I have struggled to understand why some people can so wildly misunderstand what I was trying to say. It never dawned on me how it was that what I was saying could be taken as a judgement.

What did you like best about this story?

    The concept.

    Which scene was your favorite?

How this concept effects one's relationship.

    Any additional comments?

At times one would think that the concept is being milked to be expanded into a full book only to be rewarded by yet another subtly. This is on re-read list for sure.

The Great War changed everything and the years following it were tumultuous - most of all for those who lived the war first-hand. Maugham himself is a character in this novel of self-discovery and search for meaning, but the protagonist is a character named Larry. Battered physically and spiritually by the war, Larry's physical wounds heal, but his spirit is changed almost beyond recognition.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Razor's Edge to be better than the print version?

    The audio performance is excellent.

What other book might you compare The Razor's Edge to and why?

War and Peace in that it effortlessly transports the listener to a France of society and class.

If you could rename The Razor's Edge, what would you call it?

    A Journey to Success

    Any additional comments?

The character accents as exceptionally well done.

I mostly enjoyed this book but the ravings of this conspirosy theorist is just too much to take. However, if you like that sort of thing you will love this book.
