It was ok I guess - I hoped it would go into the selection and training of the unit but it didn't. The action got a little sci fi there for a bit.

If you like Cussler you'd probabbly enjoy this

As violence erupts around him, Morgan Carter faces one of his most difficult decisions yet: whether to stay and defend his home, or move to a more isolated area, away from the prying eyes of the government. He and his family are hesitant to leave their beloved Lake County, but with increasingly suspicious activities happening in a nearby refugee camp, all signs point towards defecting.

Maybe there is another to come

On Combat looks at what happens to the human body under the stresses of deadly battle and the impact on the nervous system, heart, breathing, visual and auditory perception, memory - then discusses new research findings as to what measure warriors can take to prevent such debilitations so they can stay in the fight, survive, and win. A brief, but insightful look at history shows the evolution of combat, the development of the physical and psychological leverage that enables humans to kill other humans, followed by an objective examination of domestic violence in America.

Very good book. Well worth a credit and the time to listen.

A bit gear focused, like it should be.

Society collapse and .gov going full new world order was a bit quicker than expected.

    Shoot outs are believable.

If 95% of cars are not running should be plenty of gasoline available - hello garden hose and siphon ...

In all a very good book though

It’s the near future, and thanks to a perfect storm of reckless banking practices, hyperinflation, a stock market gone mad, and the negligence of our elected officials, the entire social, political, and economic infrastructure of America has collapsed. Chaos reigns in the streets, medical treatment is no longer available, and a silent coup has placed a dangerous group of men at the helm of a false government. America’s fate is in the hands of those few individuals who have the survival skills, the faith, and the forethought to return this country to the state its founding fathers intended.

I like J W Rawles stuff - I know it's not exactly great literature but I enjoy it.

This book recycles some of his other stuff and doesn't really flow in with much new stuff. It's a bit all over the place. If you've read either of his other books this one is only so so.

There is a bit of good Christian witness in.

Not a bad book but not very good either.

Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista is a novel set in the not-too-distant future in the American Southwest, during a period of low-intensity civil war. The action takes place between Texas and California, but the story is mainly centered around New Mexico. Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista is a sequel to Enemies Foreign and Domestic, but it may be enjoyed on its own.
