    Overall

If you're a knitting, you'll love these stories, which bind knitting with personal experiences. The highlight is that Meg Swansen herself reads the portion of the book about her.

While another reviewer had an issue with the reader (aside from Meg), I actually enjoyed listening to her and found her tone friendly and cadence pleasurable to follow.

Mason-Dixon Knitting is a spectacularly popular and beloved knitting blog written by Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne. For this audiobook, Ann and Kay read from their blog and from their best-selling book Mason-Dixon Knitting Outside the Lines. The audiobook begins in 2003 with Kay's tribute to Gee's Bend quilter Loretta Pettway. It includes Ann's famous entry describing their first meeting face to face, and ends in 2005 with Kay's paean to indigo-dyed denim yarn.

While abridged (and obviously missing the knitting patterns), this is a delightful listen, which is read by both authors. It's warm, humorous and personable.
