1) Thorough. 2) Basic. 3) Attainable.
The first time i was able to have a back and forth conversation with the narrator without any hesitation, It felt great!
She has great command of both languages, her enunciation is clear and authentic. She made the listen easy and entertaining.
The Spanish Revolution - Just Listen!
The interactive lessons really captured my attention and the narrator vastly helped my language skills by teaching me the communication basics and giving me the 'tricks' of the language.I have just one request - please write language courses for French and Italian as well. I would love to be able to learn those languages in this same method.
Yes, the course comes to life in this audio version, its actually much better! I used it when jogging in the morning and it has a good rhythm, i was able to keep up for the most part without having to stop.
I liked the authors idea to teach Spanish in a story format, the book is setup with scenes so that it all flows one word into the next, one sentence into the next. I thought the layout was good, but would like to see more time allotted for the listeners to respond, even though i can pause it myself if it goes to fast..
The story where the Misses insisted the floor be cleaned with sopa, confusing soap with "sopa" which means soup, resulting in the kitchen floor being completely scrubbed with chicken soup!
Spanglish II, Lol
I found the book helpful in starting a conversation with my house help even though she was in stitches over my accent, but hey you cant have everything, right?!
