After rescuing the President from kidnappers, Navy SEAL turned Secret Service agent Scot Harvath shifts his attentions to rooting out, capturing or killing all those responsible for the plot. As he prepares to close out his list, a bloody and twisted trail of clues points towards one man - the world's most feared, most ruthless terrorist, Hashim Nidal. Nidal has assembled an international league of Islamic terrorist networks in an ingenious plot to topple both Israel and America.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

No, it just wasn't not for me. Character seems a little cookie cutter. Kind of standard fare, nothing memorable about character, female character very unlikeable, and the author's politics are apparent.

What do you think your next listen will be?

I'm not sure, but I will not continue with this series.

What aspect of Armand Schultz’s performance would you have changed?

    He gave a good performance.

Did Path of the Assassin inspire you to do anything?

Inspired me to not continue with the rest of the series.

    Any additional comments?

Read the first in this series as well. Felt the same about the first, gave the second a try. Now I'm done.

When Nita Morales hires Elvis Cole to find her missing adult daughter, she isn’t afraid, even though she’s gotten a phone call asking for ransom. She knows it’s a fake, that her daughter is off with the guy Nita will call only “that boy,” and that they need money: "Even smart girls do stupid things when they think a boy loves them." But she is wrong....

    R. Conley says: "One of the best"

Would you listen to Taken again? Why?

Yes, and I have 5 or 6 times. Why? The characters. Pike is one of my all time favorite characters across any genre/medium, and listening to him go after the people who took Elvis, pure fun. Plus you get more Jon Stone, which is always a bonus.

What did you like best about this story?

There is a lot that I like about the story, but there is one part where Joe talks to Elvis's cat that I absolutely love!

What does Luke Daniels bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Just hearing the characters and the emotions in their voices adds just that little extra that I thinks makes it great.

    Any additional comments?

Thanks Mr. Crais, another good one!

LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well, not since a shocking nighttime assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty - until he meets his new partner. Maggie is not doing so well, either. The German shepherd survived three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan sniffing explosives before she lost her handler to an IED and sniper attack, and her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s. They are each other’s last chance.

What made the experience of listening to Suspect the most enjoyable?

Multiple things, the narrator is fantastic, the story was wonderful, and I LOVED the characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Maggie! As someone who shares a home with a german shepherd, I think the author did a great job of capturing what makes them so wonderful. Of course I'm biased. I also liked Scott, but if I had to pick between him and Dominick Leland, that would be tough choice.

Which character – as performed by MacLeod Andrews – was your favorite?

Dominick Leland, I love that character!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Well, I'll have to admit the opening scene had me in tears.

    Any additional comments?

Just an all around great story! I read it once, and have listened to it 5 times. The audiobook is outstanding and makes a great book even better.

A long-buried family secret resurfaces when one of Aloysius Pendergast's most implacable enemies shows up on his doorstep as a murdered corpse. The mystery has all the hallmarks of the perfect murder, save for an enigmatic clue: a piece of turquoise lodged in the stomach of the deceased. The gem leads Pendergast to an abandoned mine on the shore of California's desolate Salton Sea, which in turn propels him on a journey of discovery deep into his family's sinister past.

    G. House Sr. says: "Twists and Tuns in the Pendergast Family Tree"

    Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed the final scene, it was enjoyable to see what the authors have done with Constance, and I'm excited to see what direction they go with her.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could have, Rene Auberjonois does a fantastic job, as always!

    Any additional comments?

A very good "read". Rene Auberjonois does a great job as Pendergast, and I've taken to only listening to this series instead of reading it because of his performances. I even went back and listened to the ones I had already read and enjoyed them even more.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, great story featuring one of my favorite characters across any media, and the performance by the narrator was great!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Not so much on the edge, but definitely held my attention, the pace was fast, it never really dulled.

What about James Daniels’s performance did you like?

He has a great voice that is easy to listen to, and his performance of Joe Pike is great.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Absolutely!

    Any additional comments?

I read the book first and I loved it, but the audiobook made me like it even more.
