The Deliverer has returned, but who is he? Arlen Bales, formerly of the small hamlet of Tibbet’s Brook, learnt harsh lessons about life as he grew up in a world where hungry demons stalk the night and humanity is trapped by its own fear. He chose a different path; chose to fight inherited apathy and the corelings, and eventually he became the Painted Man, a reluctant saviour. But the figure emerging from the desert, calling himself the Deliverer, is not Arlen.

Sort of following on from the first book except it took you through the beginings of all the other charaters from the first book so you get an understanding of where they come from and how they are going to meet up.

Towards the end of the book it got REALLY exciting with Arlin (The Warded Man) thats not to say the other parts of the book was not good, in fact i really loved this book, I will be REALLY!!!! mad if they don't bring out the 3rd book as I want to know what happens next, they can't just leave us hanging like that lol. Whats happening with Jadiers army, and the other characters, come on :)

These two books were realesed 1 month apart, and its been nealry 6 months wheres the 3rd Book! Come on Peter, read faster, give us that book :)

This is as it says, its a short book, it is a girls book to be fair, I am not sure what others are complaining about, its a free book and its as it says it Down and Dirty. Its worth a listen, however if it actually cost money I would not recomend it, but its free so I feel if you like dirty books then its worth a listen.

Sometimes there is very good reason to be afraid of the dark…. Eleven-year-old Arlen lives with his parents on their small farmstead, half a day's ride from the isolated hamlet of Tibbet's Brook. As dusk falls upon Arlen's world, a strange mist rises from the ground; a mist that promises a violent death to any foolish enough to brave the coming darkness, for hungry corelings - demons that cannot be harmed by mortal weapons - materialize from the vapours to feed on the living.

From get go it was interesting, towards the end on the first part it sounded like whats happening, where are we, what we talking about, but then it all gets cleared up. Every time I paused the book due to me having to do something else I was always left wanting more, the story pulls you into the 3 characters lives, I will be going onto the second book tonight, I am very keen to continue the story :) I really hope the the 3rd book is released before I finish the second. Also, I really liked this Narrator, he is absolutly brilient, well fitted to the book. I hope he does lots more, of this type of book FICTION like the Raymond Fiest books etc. Although he may have done more of them I just probly can't see them due to me being in NZ, the publishers won't release the Raymond E Fiest Audio Books here for some reason, and a substantial amount of other books I am interested in. Anyway I HIGHLY recommend this book :)

A lost race of elves, the taredhel or 'people of the stars', have found a way across the universe to reach Midkemia. On their current home world, these elves are hard pressed by a ravaging demon horde, and what was once a huge empire has been reduced to a handful of survivors. The cornerstone of taredhel lore is the tale of their lost origins in the world they call simply 'Home', a place lost in the mists of time. Now they are convinced that Midkemia is that place, and they are coming to reclaim it.

I will be honest, this was the first Raymond E. Feist book I have read (Listened to) and then went onto At the Gates of Darkness, I absolutly loved the two books, with Peter Joyce narrating them made it just as good too. I am so hungry for more, WHY is there none Raymond E Feist's other books on this site? I WANT MORE lol I highly recomend this book and book 2 'At the Gates of Darkness'

Whisked from his comfortable hobbit-hole by Gandalf the wizard and a band of dwarves, Bilbo Baggins finds himself caught up in a plot to raid the treasure hoard of Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon.

This is my first Audiobook, and I am currently on my fourth hour and I am absolutely loving it. I wish I could find another book that is as good as this one. I have looked around and can't seem to find a book that has a great adventure with diferent races like dwarfs etc,... I looked at the LOTR however when I listened to the sample that total put me off of Dramatised versions, the background music etc is terreble.

The Hobit is fantastic and I highly recommend it, it had a great adventure, many diferent races, and the nerrator just puts the cherry on the top.
