This is the second book of Harlan Coben's to which I've listened. "Tell No One" was the first, and I really enjoyed that book, enough that I bought another one of his books. "Gone for Good" has a very good story line, and keeps you guessing with unexpected twists and turns. However, the narrator almost kept me from listening to it. He was very monotone. Thankfully, I did listen to it because I ended up liking the story. When reading the speaking parts, Jonathan put emotion into it, but during the narration, he was very dry.
Very well written. I haven't read one of Stephen King's books in years as they always scared me! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the thought process that went into it. Craig Wasson did a remarkable job as narrator. I highly recommend to everyone.
I wasn't sure when I first started listening that I would be able to read this book, as it starts out sort of violent. But, as the story progressed, I understood and was amazed at the creativity of Brad Meltzer and how he wove Biblical and secular history together. Very well written and Scott Brick did a great job with the narration! Great read!
Great book, great story, did not disappoint in any way. And you can't go wrong with Kristen Bell narrating, just as she did in the TV Series. I look forward to more Veronica Mars books narrated by Kristen Bell!
I enjoyed this book. It was a short book, but worth the listen. Kirsten Potter does a great job of narrating!
The story is well written and Angela Dawe did a great job narrating. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the history. I enjoyed all of the characters and hope there is a ghost of a chance that Bartholomew tags along with Katie into the next book!
I remember reading this book in gradeschool and remember how much I enjoyed it. I decided to download and listen to this book as an adult. I remembered so much about the story, and was surprised at the few things I had forgotten. It is definitely geared for a child, but worth listening to at any age.
Spencer Quinn is excellent in his narrating the story from Chet's point of view, and Jim Frangione is perfect as the narrator! The Dog Who Knew Too Much delivered all of the mystery and the antics of Chet that one would expect. My only criticism is this story had more foul language in it than was necessary. Other than that, well done, gentlemen! I look forward to listening to the next adventure!
Every bit as good as The Virals, Book 1. Great writing and great narration. Kathy and Cristin make a great team!
Great read! Loved the story and the narrator. Excellent job! I am a dog lover and I laughed at Chet's thought process and lack of awareness of his own actions at times - I have witnessed those with my own dogs through the years. Well done Spencer Quinn and Jim Frangione. It was the second time I've listened to "Dog on It". Loved it so much again that I just purchased all of the rest of the series. Can't wait to get started!
