I have read all 4 of Carofiglio's books and have enjoyed them all, especially the first 2. They are entertaining and I found the differences between the Italian and the American judicial system is very interesting. Sean Barret is probably my favorite reader; he is always excellent.
The book was very interesting about Bonhoeffer's life and also from a historical point of view. If you are looking for the definitive life of Bonhoeffer, this is it. The person who is looking for general information may find it too detailed. For me, it needed tighter editing and I found myself skipping parts.
I read this book to learn about the Hasidic community, but it seemed to be very shallow. I didn't finish it.
