I so thoroughly enjoyed this book that I rented the movie by the same name. The movie was not so good. Acting was good, but I just did not like where they changed the story.
Narrator Dick Hill is really excelent.

I am a hugh Patterson fan - read all his books and I have to agree with everyone that this is the worst book ever by him. It is beyond belief that it was written by Patterson. I cannot listen to any more of it and have stopped. Lousy reading. Don't buy it.....

It's a fear more paralyzing than falling. More terrifying than absolute darkness. More horrifying than anything you can imagine. It's the one fear you cannot escape, no matter where you run...no matter where you hide. It's the fear of yourself. It's real. It can happen to you. And facing it can be deadly.

Dohna says: "Koontz did it again......."
    "Gross"
    Overall

I had to quit listening to this book due to the cruel and terrible actions of one of the characters. This book should be rated XX for the graphic stuff in it. Would not recomend this to anyone.

His existence is under siege as a series of terrifying, enigmatic "messages" breaches the security systems of his Bel Air estate. The boxes arrive mysteriously, one by one, at Channing Manheim's compound. Manheim's security chief, ex-cop Ethan Truman, is used to looking beneath the surface of things. What a interesting book. Seems a little too intense for some. I enjoyed it because I too believe that the spiritual world is real. I don't believe the author is accurate about the outcome of remorse but then who am I - because we do not know all that is possible.

Alex Cross was a rising star in the Washington, D.C., Police Department when an unknown man gunned down his wife in front of him. His desire for vengeance was placed on hold as he raised his children himself. But when a case triggers a connection to his wife's death, Alex may finally have a chance to catch the killer.

    "Finally"
    Overall

We as readers/listeners find out the truth about the death of Alex Cross's wife. Good book but not as cliff-hanging as some of the past Cross novels.
I enjoyed it. But then I like James Patterson's novels.
