Felix Francis co-wrote several horse racing mysteries with his late father Dick Francis before the legendary author passed away in 2010. Taking up the reins for his first solo effort, Felix delivers a captivating tale that franchise fans will thoroughly enjoy. Former jockey Nicholas “Foxy” Foxton is at the track one day when he witnesses the execution-style killing of his friend Herb Novak. Worried he might be next, Foxy wonders if there was a dark side to Herb he didn’t know about.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would. The story was great and John Keating was wonderful!!!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

    Yes it did!

Have you listened to any of John Keating’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No I haven't, I was very impressed.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It had me holding my breathe and trying to talk to the book!! Especially when he was trying to escape from the race course on the horse. And also when he was fighting with the attacker and they fell down the stairs.

    Any additional comments?

John Keating was just wonderful as the reader of this book, made my enjoyment of the book even better!

Best-selling Christy Award winner Dee Henderson's novel portrays the selfless heroism of CIA agent Darcy St. James and Navy SEAL Sam Houston. When an old KGB friend suddenly stabs her, Darcy falls into the water. After coming to her rescue, Sam soon sees Darcy as the answer to his prayers, and Darcy thanks the Lord for tough-yet-tender Sam. But when the 9/11 attacks drive Darcy from retirement and her intelligence keeps Sam's SEAL team busy, they must put their future in God's hands.

Love this book, this is the third time I have listened to it and it just keeps getting better. Darcy, Gabe and Tom, plus the rest of Seal Team 9 are wonderful companions. Tom Stechschulte, whom I consider the best narrator ever, brings this story to life and the memories of 9 11 become alive again. I know I will be listening to this story many time more.

Rachel O'Malley works disasters for a living. Her specialty is helping children through trauma. For years Rachel has touched grief as she helps others through it, but now grief is something very personal - she is losing her own sister to cancer. When a school shooting rips through her community, she must lean hard against God to find the strength to help the children. For there is more than just sorrow confronting her, there's a secret.

I love this story, although out of all the O'Malley books it is the saddest and I am crying as I write this review. This is Rachel and Cole's story and is the sweetest love story I love both of them and I am so happy that they have each other. Wonderfully written and a must read. Tom Stechschulte is my favorite narrator and in my opinion one of the best if not the best. His voice really makes this audible book.

Best-selling author Dee Henderson's acclaimed novels are an irresistible blend of suspense, romance and spirituality. More than a million copies of Henderson's books are in print, and she has won many prizes, including the Christy, the RITA and the National Reader's Choice Award. FBI special agent Dave Richman loves hostage negotiator Kate O'Malley. But keeping her safe is another matter entirely, one that requires deep trust in God.

I have both read this story and listened to it and I know I will be repeating this process often because the book is just that good. And with Tom narrating it, I could listen to it forever!!!

This book is even more suspenseful when listening to Brian Hutchinson then it is when you are reading it. There were several times when I had to stop it and just let go, then go back after several hours it was that intense. Brian does a masterful job with the narration really adds to the story.

If you liked or loved the book this is a must listen. If you didn't enjoy the book try this audio version you will LOVE it!!!!!!

Commander Mark Bishop is deliberately low-key: "I'm in the Navy." But commanding the ballistic missile submarine USS Nevada, keeping her crew trained and alert during 90-day submerged patrols, and being prepared to launch weapons on valid presidential orders, carries a burden of command like few other jobs in the military. Mark wants someone to come home to after sea patrols. The woman he has in mind is young, with a lovely smile, and very smart. She's a civilian, yet she understands the U.S. Navy culture.
