I found it difficult to stay engaged with the story. I suspect that people with more knowledge and familiarity with the area and the issues would find it more enlightening.
Only if the character's voice were actually supposed to have an accent. Since Anthony Shadid was from Oklahoma Shah's voice made the author's identity confusing for me.

Michael Lewis does it again--great insights and kept me engaged through the end. The only thing that would have made this book better would be if Lewis read it himself.
Jim Collins produces compelling research. I have read most of his books and learn much every time.

It was all moving, although given his recent death, the ending was particularly moving.
