I was engrossed from beginning to end, although it would have been nice to have a good guy or two sprinkled into the plot.
Sure - if they like dark books about criminals.
Jake does a superior job of really making you feel like you are in the book.
This was a completely engrossing novel about the quest to catch a psychopath bent on killing thousands after an initial killing of 8 whet his appetite. The writing is taut, the characters are interesting, and the performance is really good. I am not a fan of Steven King's horror work, but I do like his serious novel - particularly this on and the "11-23-63," which was also outstanding.
Most of the audiobooks are really well done. The narrator for this book, however, doesn't match up with the story all. She seems more interested in making sure she pronounces the words than to read the stories effectively. Plus, the main character is fairly young and hip; however, the narrator sounds old. Her voice is not a match for the characters at all. I was really looking forward to this, so I am really disappointed.
