On November 10, 2008, Dr. Eben Alexander was driven into coma by a disease so lethal that only 1 in 10,000,000 survive. Seven days later, he awakened with memories of a fantastic odyssey deep into another realm that were more real than this earthly one - memories that included meeting a deceased birth sister he had never known existed. Dr. Alexander deployed all his knowledge as a scientist to find out whether his mind could have played a trick on him. In its shutdown state, there was no way it could have.

Mackenzie Allen Philips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare.

If you could sum up The Shack in three words, what would they be?

Beautiful story and great message but the holy characters were a bit unbelievable to me

What other book might you compare The Shack to and why?

Life after life because of dealing with out of body , out of zone experiences however this was fictionalized

What about Roger Mueller’s performance did you like?

    It was good

Who was the most memorable character of The Shack and why?

The Jesus character by another name

    Any additional comments?

It was a great message of Gods love but I prefer true stories when it comes to religion

Since Darwin's day, we've been told that sexual monogamy comes naturally to our species. Mainstream science - as well as religious and cultural institutions - has maintained that men and women evolved in families in which a man's possessions and protection were exchanged for a woman's fertility and fidelity. But this narrative is collapsing....

What made the experience of listening to Sex at Dawn the most enjoyable?

the reader was very good with intonations. Made listening to the the book enjoyable.

Would you recommend Sex at Dawn to your friends? Why or why not?

Well, I was interested in it because I wanted to see what they had to say about early man and their group dynamics, regarding day to day life and human bonds.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

A bit of enthusiasm i would not have had.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Laughs. Not sure I could film it. Monkey's and humans in time past.

    Any additional comments?

No, I am not very eloquent with words. It was a worthwhile listen though.
