Tyler can't inherit unless he gets married... and when Glen proposes, hijinks ensue. Follow the guys on their world-spanning adventure as they defeat mobsters, an evil step-mother, a rakish brother-in-law and pirates. No, really - pirates! Plus, there's an underground super-base. And hockey. Come for the romance, stay for the hockey.

An unlikelier story line I've yet to come across. Dishevelled college jocks get married to inherit more money than god, fall in love at the alter and then flit around the world foiling cruise ship pirates. Really? Pull the other one!

That said, there's something about the subtle humour in the story line that keeps you listening - like a bad 80's Bond flick, awfully compelling. Really really awfully compelling.

Something was missing. The sex. The author skirts around the idea, innuendo here, suggestion there, but never really gets down to it. And I think the story is the worse for it. I'm not suggesting that the he launch into a detailed blow by blow (yes I did it) account every couple of pages, but the one thing that COULD be believable in the narrative, just isn't there.

And my last gripe then - the narrator. Sounds like he's gasping for breath every few words. Other than that, he's actually pretty good. How he voices different characters is especially good and I think that with a little practice, he's going to be great.

Many time, I've wanted to know what happens after. Some stories end too soon, and you're left wondering what happened next. This one, suffers the reverse. A brilliant story, well written, expertly performed and a joy to listen to. The plot wraps up, and then it goes on. And on. It would be improved by dropping the last two hours of the book.

All that said, it's more than worth a credit. It's great and I look forward to more from the author.

Nobody knows the real Chase. Chase Summers has a razor blade to his wrist and the smell of his lover's goodbye clinging to his skin. He has a door in his heart so frightening he'd rather die than open it, and the lies he's used to block it shut are thinning with every forbidden touch. Chase has spent his entire life unraveling, and his decision to set his sexuality free in secret has only torn his mind apart faster.

Since then, his obsessive behavior and sarcastic nature have driven away most of the population, and everyone else hates him because he's gay. A good continuation of lives of Bear, Otter and the Kid. The author does an admirable job of squeezing another instalment from a storyline that wrapped up pretty nicely in the first book.

Not as good as the first book, but a really great end to a cute little love story.
