The tempo of the book was actually a little show and the characters were not as likable as previous books.
Scott Brick has a very distinct way of reading books.
No, I think this book is fine on it's own.
Yes, I typically listen to John Sandfords books several times. Even though I know the outcome, I enjoy the story so much and Eric Conger is an excellent narrator.
Cannot tell without giving away the story.
Yes, he is excellent as always.
Howls in the night!
More from Janet Evanovich and Jonathan Maberry
The book was predictable and slow. The author used the same words over and over "my stomach started churning" was probably used 20 times. The narrator did not have an engaging story and I found that I could zone out and have not missed a thing.
The action was very well described. It moved the story along very well.
Ray Porter does a great job as always.
The main character as we learn about him as time goes on.
The volume of this recording varies so I had to either turn up the sound or turn it down from chapter to chapter.
Engaging great story
How it pulled in characters from previous books and make you wish book 6 is already out. I need to know how this all ends!
I have not listened to any of his other performances, but I really enjoy his style and the speed. Excellent. I will be looking for him in the future.
history, witch trails and greed
The moment when Matthew discovered the secret - won't say more so I don't spoil it for someone else.
I loved the accent as it was perfect for the story. It was told as a gentleman of the times, polite, even at the not so polite parts.
I couldn't stop listing. The story builds up very slowly and have surprising twist and turns.
This is one of my favorites this year. Great story, the narrator did the accents perfectly. Very good.
I liked the twists and turns.
He does a wonderful job with the accents, both the UK and the US.
More Private and Private London please!!!
This book seemed a little sloppy. Easily resolved problems and no reason to get involved.
I usually love James Patterson and his co writers, but this one was not up to the standards I am used to.
Definitly not. One was more than enough.
Yes, I would
The beginning was a little slow - once the story got moving it was good - if you can allow yourself to believe in the world Cline created.
Roy Porter did a great job with the accents of the different characters.
I am going to say yes. It was not great, but good company while working in the yard and walking the dog.
I loved this one. Part Jackie Collins, part mystery, part just plain old fun!
Michael Kramer did a great job on all the characters. Sometimes the accents were a little hookey, but still good.
I will be listning to this book again - soon!
Probably not - althoug the story was good, the many side detours and made this a hard listen.
It depends. We discussed this book in bookclub yesterday and the response was that half really liked it and the other half thought it was slow
No, the book tied up everything very nicely.
