While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, a baffling cipher found near the body. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, sort through the bizarre riddle, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci, clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

    Alexandra says: "Incredibly entertaining"
"Its Indiana Jones and the Da Vinci Code!"
    Overall

This book is perfect if your looking for something with a better than average plot but a below average reading level. Dan Brown is an excellent story maker, but a less than average story teller. Its a good story, a bit of a rehash of "Angels and Demons" but a good story on the same intellectual level as the Indiana Jones films or any other light hearted historic fiction.

The narration of the book is on par with the book. Average. Nothing great, but good enough.

Nathaniel is eleven-years-old and a magician's apprentice, learning the traditional art of magic. All is well until he has a life-changing encounter with Simon Lovelace, a magician of unrivaled ruthlessness and ambition. When Lovelace brutally humiliates Nathaniel in public, Nathaniel decides to speed up his education, teaching himself spells far beyond his years. With revenge on his mind, he masters one of the toughest spells of all and summons Bartimaeus, a five-thousand-year-old djinni, to assist him.

    Randy says: "Terrific Trilogy"
    "A perfect read!"
    Overall

The narrator of this book is awesome! The story is all right, a more adult version of Harry Potter. But the narrator wonderfully presents the character of Bartimaeus. Well worth buying, highly enjoyable stuff.

World-renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to a Swiss research facility to analyze a cryptic symbol seared into the chest of a murdered physicist. What he discovers is unimaginable: a deadly vendetta against the Catholic Church by a centuries-old underground organization, the Illuminati. Desperate to save the Vatican from a powerful time bomb, Langdon joins forces in Rome with the beautiful and mysterious scientist Vittoria Vetra.

"Don't let the stars fool ya, I like this book!"
    Overall

I suggest, that you listen to THIS one first before going to the DaVinci Code, I did and found I enjoyed this one MORE.

The only problem with this book is its the story as Da Vinci Code, exactly the same. But I found the premise for this book better, the beautiful St Peter's Square and the surrounding Vatican a better backdrop and more engrossing story.
