What made the experience of listening to Betrayal in Death the most enjoyable?

I just love the character "Eve Dallas" and the person doing the reading is always consistent.

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

Susan, you are the best. If they ever do a tv show on this book, you have to be Eve!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wish! I can never listen to a book in one sitting no matter how much I love it (LOL)

    Any additional comments?

    More J.D. Robb/Eve Dallas!!

In a decrepit and long-empty New York building, a man begins the demolition process by swinging a sledgehammer into a wall. When the dust clears, he finds two skeletons wrapped in plastic behind it. The man is Lieutenant Eve Dallas’s billionaire husband, Roarke, and he summons her immediately. His latest real estate project is going to be on hold for a while, because by the time Eve and her crew are finished searching the premises, there are 12 murders to be solved.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I am always pleased with the J.D. Robb "In Death" series and have never had a dissappointment, until this book. Slow moving plot, no action like the ones before and I was almost about to turn it off but decided to stick with it until the end.

What do you think your next listen will be?

My next listen will not be an "In Death" series. I will look for something else.

What three words best describe Susan Ericksen’s performance?

Susan has always been superb! But in the beginning of the book, she sounded different, like she had a cold or something.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The narration got better but the story was just a bore.

    Any additional comments?

    smh..

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to anyone who watches "The Walking Dead", It's on the same theme as end of the world zombies but the way it's written and narrated makes it even more tense and suspenseful.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was the main character, keeping a journal of his day to day activities.

What about Jay Snyder’s performance did you like?

What a great voice! He can really narrate this kind of book. I haven't heard him do anything else though.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I couldn't listen all in one sitting and I never do for any audiobook. I like to take breaks and have something to look forward to.

    Any additional comments?

At first I thought I wasn't going to like this book. But I stuck with it and before chapter 1 was over, I was hooked. It was suspenseful, had me on the edge of my seat!! Best $2.95 I ever spent on a book!

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

    All of them!
