This was beautifully read, and beautifully written. I personally related to her story, the struggle of whether to leave or to stay. But I think she touches hearts on many levels. She eloquently raises awareness about pesticides. She truly is the next Rachel Carson. I was in tears at the end of the book, and didn't want it to end.
This book came so highly recommended, I was listening and thought maybe I had gotten the wrong book. I thought the writing was awful, and the readers chosen for this book were just as awful. I found the whole thing rather annoying. The only thing worth slight praising was the story line, though entirely predictable. Definitely didn't think this was "the years' most shocking thriller". This book was overrated at best.
