  • Red Notice

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 18 mins)
    • By Andy McNab
    • Narrated By Colin Buchanan

Deep beneath the English Channel, a small army of vicious terrorists has seized control of the Eurostar to Paris, taken 400 hostages at gunpoint - and declared war on a government that has more than its own fair share of secrets to keep. One man stands in their way. An off-duty SAS soldier is hiding somewhere inside the train. Alone and injured, he’s the only chance the passengers and crew have of getting out alive. Meet Andy McNab's explosive new creation, Sergeant Tom Buckingham, as he unleashes a whirlwind of intrigue and retribution in his attempt to stop the terrorists and save everyone on board.

What disappointed you about Red Notice?

It was terrible written, the voice acting was great, I am a long time listener to Andy Mcnab, and thoroughly enjoy his Audiobooks, The Nick Stone books in particular) but this is so bad for the simple point that all his books up till now were REALISTIC. This b makes no sense, and is very Hollywood in the decisions and actions the characters make.
I didnt even finish it because it was such a bad 35 mins that I listened too. Very poor.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not Andy Mcnab anymore if he writes more garbage like this.

What does Colin Buchannan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Really great accents and timing, he was the only reason that I got as far as I did with the story. Great job.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Only the voice acting, the story was not worth the paper it was written on.

    Any additional comments?

Do not listen. its a waste of money.

  • Dragons of Autumn Twilight: Dragonlance: Chronicles, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (19 hrs and 35 mins)
    • By Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman
    • Narrated By Paul Boehmer
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Lifelong friends, they went their separate ways. Now they are together again, though each holds secrets from the others in his heart. They speak of a world shadowed with rumors of war. They speak of tales of strange monsters, creatures of myth, creatures of legend. They do not speak of their secrets. Not then. Not until a chance encounter with a beautiful, sorrowful woman, who bears a magical crystal staff, draws the companions deeper into the shadows, forever changing their lives and shaping the fate of the world.

  • The God Delusion

    • UNABRIDGED (13 hrs and 52 mins)
    • By Richard Dawkins
    • Narrated By Richard Dawkins, Lalla Ward

As the author of many classic works on science and philosophy, Richard Dawkins has always asserted the irrationality of belief in God and the grievous harm it has inflicted on society. He now focuses his fierce intellect exclusively on this subject, denouncing its faulty logic and the suffering it causes.

    "A Fantastic Read"
Would you consider the audio edition of The God Delusion to be better than the print version?

The story telling by Mr Dawkins and Miss Ward is really well done, and adds another dimension to a already well written and intelligent book.

What did you like best about this story?

The best thing about the story is that it shatters the shackles of being controlled by other people, (which whatever people say is the point of religion, to control you) and opens your eyes to the fact that there are no spirits, magic or anything supernatural that you need to fear, we do good because we are good people and we want to, not because there is some judgmental thing watching us. The world is clearer and safer in that knowledge.

Have you listened to any of Richard Dawkins and Lalla Ward ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    N/A but I will.

    Any additional comments?

Really is a must read for everyone, I want my children and grandchildren to read this, if people actually stop and think about what we are told by these "people of faith" and look at how so much of the world's problems are because of them and there ever crusade to be in control of your lives, the world would be a much happier place.
