To start with, it's not a Star Wars book really. With the exception of a really bad part for Han and Chewie (just a terrible idea of putting them on there...he only did it to make it feel anything like star wars). The writing feels rushed; There's no real character development. He tried to put his own spin on a zombie virus and outbreak, kudos for that, but it was a terrible idea. The virus, the way it spreads, just everything about it was poorly thought out. Even if it wasn't a "Star Wars" book it would be just a bad, bad zombie book.
I think my least favorite thing about the book is the chapter name reading....The stupid guy yelling in the background the name of the chapter was just a horrible thing to do. I feel embarrassed for everyone involved that it's there.
I didn't want to finish the book. I shouldn't have finished the book but I spent the credit (wish I hadn't) so I did. I was going to get Red Harvest at the same time, really glad I didn't.
Yet another amazing book from Karen Traviss. The ONLY downside, which really has nothing to do with the book, is that this is the 2nd to final book (so they've said, and with the last one now out - The Slab) and I don't play the games because I don't like console. I would love to have something after Coalitions End to find out what happens.
David Colacci is one of my favorite readers to listen to. He does such a great job with this book and all the others.
I don't play the games but I read/listen to the books and there isn't one that has disappointed me. This particular series is just awesome. I can't wait for the next book!
