I loved everything! The cast, the story and the characters!
"Have a banana!"
Arthur making up a word play game
Oh, I think "Have a banana" would do!
I haven't read the print version but the narrators were so excellent that I can't imagine the print version would be nearly as good.
Yes, I tidying the house so I wouldn't have to stop listening to it! Probably about mid-way through I figured out who did it, but the story was so enthralling that it didn't matter!
Their voices are lovely. Lara Hutchinson really brought the girls to life.
Both the narrator and the story were amazing. The narrator brought all the characters to life for me.
Learning what families would endure in order to avoid the workhouses or how long it took for midwives to require certification.
The storyline about the woman with 24 babies!
So worth listening to. Even if you've seen the show, the book offers so much more!
The narrator. I am (was) enjoying the story but I cannot listen to the narrator gasp for air each time he says anything. When the narrator is not inhaling to add emphasis, he's fine but he seems to feel nearly everything said requires emphasis.
Story is fine.
Not again but was well worth listening to one time. The story is good but sometimes I was unsure what the author wanted me to feel for the main character, although perhaps that was the point.
It wasn't exciting but isn't wasn't predictable either.
I have read the book. I found Sharon Williams voices to be very entertaining. She does an upper class voice like no other!
No, the book just toddles along. Enjoyable to listen to but did not evoke any particular emotion.
It's not at the top but it was really enjoyable and made the time pass quickly as I was cleaning the house!
It was fun trying to figure out the "true" story.
slow, relaxing, deep
No, I needed breaks from it.
The narrator was very good, it was the story that lacked. If the author(s) had not changed facts from Frost's life as described in the original R.D. Wingfield Frost books, it would have been much better.
Yes. I would probably still buy their work. The story was okay for detective fiction, it just wasn't really a Frost book.
This is the first one I've listened to.
None. They all served a purpose.
