Growing up on the tough Philly streets, Gwen O'Neill has learned how to fend for herself. But what is she supposed to do with a nice, suburban Jersey boy in the form of a massive Grizzly shifter? Especially one with a rather unhealthy fetish for honey, moose, and…uh…well, her. Yet despite his menacing ursine growl and four-inch claws, Gwen finds Lachlan "Lock" MacRyrie cute and really sweet. He actually watches out for her, protects her, and unlike the rest of her out-of-control family manages not to morbidly embarrass her.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this series to a friend. Once you have listened to one of the books, basically, you have listened to all of them, the plot is the same in all - challenging cross species love, raunchy sex (which is all basically the same with very little variety), culminating with marriage and "happily every after" . . . the titles and names of characters might be difference, but it is the same story.

The White Council of Wizards has drafted Harry Dresden as a Warden and assigned him to look into rumors of black magic in Chicago. Malevolent entities that feed on fear are loose in the Windy City, but it's all in a day's work for a wizard, his faithful dog, and a talking skull named Bob.

Would you listen to Proven Guilty again? Why?

I feel like Dresden has finally come into his own in this book . . . we now have a complex, analytical character that can only grow and get better. I am glad I hung in through the first few books which were good, but Butcher has grown in writing this series and it is clear in the plot lines, character development and shear entertainment quality of the books. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I must admit to a few chuckle out loud moments :-).

To save the lives of her friends, Rachel did the unthinkable: she willingly trafficked in forbidden demon magic. And now her sins are coming home to haunt her. Where does The Outlaw Demon Wails rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is a great series which I have really enjoyed - love the character development, in particular the evolution of Rachel in learning to accept that life is not black and white and there is a lot of gray in between.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Gigi Bermingham?

ANYONE! I was aghast at Gigi Bermingham's narration of this story. First, why would you have ever considered changing narrator's in the middle of the series? Second, did she not even bother to listen to previous narrations so at the very least she would have the same pronouncation of names/ titles/ect.as the previous narrators. THANK you for bringing back the original narrator as I don't think I could have listened to one more of Gigi's narrations.
