Vikas Swarup's spectacular debut novel, the inspiration for the award-winning film, opens in a jail cell in Mumbai, where Ram Mohammad Thomas is being held after correctly answering all 12 questions on India's biggest quiz show, Who Will Win a Billion? It is hard to believe that a poor orphan who has never gone to school could win such a contest. But through a series of exhilarating tales, Ram explains to his lawyer how episodes in his life gave him the answer to each question.

I enjoyed listening to this novel. The novel is about a character who answers questions on a game show to win a sum of money. Each chapter reveals details about the main character's life and ultimately provides clues on how he was able to answer each question on the game show. It is quite a bit different from the movie, but still quite good.

The narration was well done. There were many accents and voices portrayed by the narrator.

Twenty years ago, it was as if someone turned on a light. The future blazed into existence with each deliberate word that William Gibson laid down. The winner of Hugo, Nebula, and Philip K. Dick Awards, Neuromancer didn't just explode onto the science fiction scene - it permeated into the collective consciousness, culture, science, and technology.Today, there is only one science fiction masterpiece to thank for the term "cyberpunk," for easing the way into the information age and Internet society.

I had a really hard time getting into this novel. The narration was really good but the storyline just didn't grab my attention like I thought it would. I thought I would really like it since I'm a science fiction fan, but perhaps this genre just isn't for me.

This is a creative story of revenge. The later half of the book is very different from the movie (the Count of Monte Cristo part). It is quite long, so save it for when you have some free time. The narrator gives an excellent performance.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Girl Who Played with Fire to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version but the audio was great. The narrator was excellent although the production quality could have been better. It seemed to be translated from cassette tapes to digital format. Don't let that stop you from listening though.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Blomkvist is my favourite character because he never gives up on finding the truth and making things right.

What about Saul Reichlin’s performance did you like?

His voices for the different characters was great!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending leaves you hanging with a desire to find out what happens next.
