Writing; Bad dialogue, bad prose and superficial plot, the only positive thing about the writing I can come up with is that Donovan is one tough dude, although the writer doesn't capitalize on that much.
Narration; Orlow does most of it and is solid, Guidall is Guidall (awesome).
I don't know if this is Mr. Locke's first book so maybe the quality improves as he goes, this one feels like a poor first attempt that one would try to improve upon but not publish.
Books like this keep me from reading new writers as this was a waste of my time and money, yep it's that bad.
Very high, good writing and excellent narration made this book a very fun listen.
The plot was solid maybe a bit a bit too fancy but it did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the book. The ending was a nice surprise and thinking back based on the character It totally fits and makes perfect sense.
No but after this book I will remedy that.
It made me happy to have discovered a new author and narrator to enjoy.
If you like Pike Logan, Court Gentry and Jonathan Quinn you will enjoy Robin Monarch.
