The first book was innovative and I liked it. This time, it just got weird and gross. I don't recommend this book to anyone.

Welcome to Ringworld, an intermediate step between Dyson Spheres and planets. The gravitational force created by a rotation on its axis of 770 miles per second means no need for a roof. Walls 1,000 miles high at each rim will let in the sun and prevent much air from escaping. Larry Niven's novel, Ringworld, is the winner of the 1970 Hugo Award for Best Novel, the 1970 Nebula Award for Best Novel, and the 1972 Ditmars, an Australian award for Best International Science Fiction.

A woman sold casually as property, and both women in this book are clearly just written in as sex objects.

Terrible book, terrible story, terrible all around.

Has no redeeming qualities to speak of.

I loved the action in this book. It was constant and awesome. I enjoy how the story developed and then wrapped up. He has a way to "finish" a conflict while carrying others on. It was very entertaining to read.

This is exactly the opposite of her Mercy Thompson series, which is a really good series.

This was dull, drab, boring, blah, and meh.

When it wasn't those things, it was confusing.

In August of 1914, the British ship Endurance set sail for the South Atlantic. In October, 1915, still half a continent away from its intended base, the ship was trapped, then crushed in the ice. For five months, Sir Ernest Shackleton and his men, drifting on ice packs, were castaways in one of the most savage regions of the world.

This story was a great story of survival. The men were so skilled at staying alive and having a decent attitude while doing it. What a good listen.

An orphan's life is harsh---and often short---in the island city of Camorr, built on the ruins of a mysterious alien race. But born with a quick wit and a gift for thieving, Locke Lamora has dodged both death and slavery, only to fall into the hands of an eyeless priest known as Chains---a man who is neither blind nor a priest. A con artist of extraordinary talent, Chains passes his skills on to his carefully selected "family" of orphans---a group known as the Gentlemen Bastards.

    Story

Lies of Locke Lamora had an okay story that would have been better without all the vulgarity and profanity. As I listened, I was drawn out of the story time and time again because of the swearing overload. I mean, wow, sometimes it was every other word.

This definitely needed a content warning. There was just way too much of a bad thing, and not enough story interspersed between all the cursing.
