Most people, including me, love BB, but what this book gave me was a shorter version that I could listen to and enjoy for a couple of days and come back to when needed. Also, even though I don't have a male partner in my life...It helped me to understand my father and brother better.
The guidance related to men and women.
Her voice. I can't listen to any of her audio books that are read by others. There isn't the same passion.
Yes, the white horse reference. It also goes for same sex couples.
I would have Brene read it. She did pick a decent narrator, but it just wasn't the same. I kept thinking it was missing something...it was. When a book like this comes from the writer, in her words, it means so much more.
I enjoy the stories that are true to Brene and her family.
Calm, appropriate, out-of-place (here)
I started a gratitude journal.
Great book, but I liked power of vulnerability more.
I would listen to it again. It is a beautiful story that kept my interest the entire time. The prejudice got a tiny big old toward the end, but I understand others may love the suspense.
I enjoyed the times when they came together as people.
Oh yes! I loved the reading by Sarah! Perfect for this book. I am always afraid of an accent reader, but I understood every word and her rendition of the different scenes was amazing!
Worth the read!
I loved the books, the movies, and this audio read by Joe Mantegna was as amazing! Joe did a great job bringing it all to life for me. Even though I knew the ending...it was still a suspense filled ride to the end!
I like the way the audio book brought supporting characters to life.
Joe is my favorite narrator.
I lost interest and didn't finish it.
Something darker or with more action.
Yes. I thought the narration was fine.
