Searching for her missing brother, Grace Carlyle never dreamed she would discover a secret world populated by mythological monsters - or find herself facing a sword-wielding being whose looks put mortal men to shame. But there he was, Darius en Kragin, one of a race of shape-shifting warriors bound to guard the gates of Atlantis, and kill all travelers who strayed within its borders.

If you could sum up Heart of the Dragon in three words, what would they be?

Deep, hot, sexy. Meaning the story line in this novel sets the foundation for the other novels behind it. I have the set (purchased from Amazon Kindle) and have read them all. This one was the hardest one to get through reading. That said each one after just gets better and better. The last three were my favorites, funny and battle of the sexes. One type of Male dominated culture meets a modern day lady who is not going to take it.
Unfortunately not all of them are here otherwise I would say purchase them all and if they are like the books.... well lets just say they were all niter's that were worth the wait.

What did you like best about this story?

Male character has to put aside what he was raised to believe and go with his heart. We have all been there, when what you were raised with has to change.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I think this novel would have been better with a male and female narrator. I thought that the intro narrator was the who narrator the whole novel. I was disappointed in the narrator doing the male characters. Grace's southern accent came across as forced and slow.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

At first I really didn't like the female character, Grace came across as weak and silly. Later on I got to the point of cheering her on. Sometimes characters grow on you.

    Any additional comments?

Audible needs to get the other books.

Dr. Joyce Yards has never met anyone as sexy or as irresistible as 466. He refuses to discuss anything except getting her naked beneath him. Their therapy sessions are growing hotter, his raw hunger for her is becoming aggressive, and she is falling for him. Joy knows the dire consequences if she gives in to desire. It will break her heart but she must walk away.

What did you love best about Moon?

Talk about an Alpha male with problems.

What other book might you compare Moon to and why?

    The Pamala Palmer series.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

One shrink telling another shrink off.

    Any additional comments?

I was not impressed with the narration. I think that there just was not enough variation in the voices to make the characters come alive. I was really disappointed in that. Thou, I have read all the books in this series and was really looking forward to hearing their sultry purrs and the New Species were blunt and not varied. Felt like the narrator was distancing themself from the male charactors. If the male parts where given to a different narrator then this whole series could have come out better. That said, do give them a try and read the books. They are page turners.

Dory is used to fighting hard and nasty. So when she wakes up in a strange scientific lab with a strange man standing over her, her first instinct is to take his head off. Luckily, the man is actually the master vampire Louis-Cesare, so he's not an easy kill. It turns out that Dory had been working with a Vampire Senate task force on the smuggling of magical items and weaponry out of Faerie when she was captured and brought to the lab.

What did you love best about Fury's Kiss?

The story keeps with the other novels and doesn't spend too much time rehashing the past story line. Writer jumps right into the action.

What did you like best about this story?

The picking up of why and how she is the way she is. Thou all the trials she keeps trying to save who she can and kick butt of those she can. A great character that doesn't spend a whole lot of time complaining about her life but taking charge of what she can do with the time she has. Ok and my husband loves the fact that she smokes pot in the other books.

What does Joyce Bean bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I find that characters that you read about being from other foreign countries, you don't get the value of them until they are read correctly with an accent.
You take names that are french, Asian, German, etc. and read them you mind tends to think in English but when you hear them correctly spoken and with that accent it changes your whole perception of that character. Like Jaun Claude in the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. The narrator gives the character more attractive and believable character then when I read the books. Which I complete miss understood the names. Thou from that point and time when you read the next books that is how that character will sound in your head.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I do not recommend trying to fall to sleep to this book. It kept me up because I was laughing. The witty comments and ok her only servant is hilarious. The burning butt chapter I have played several times. The narrator gives him a whiney voice that just cracks me up.

    Any additional comments?

Please keep tell the narrator and the author to write more books to this series.

Hell Yes. If you like funny, action, great narration, romance and surprise plots, this is the series for you.

What other book might you compare Death's Mistress to and why?

Laurel K. Hamilton's series of Juanita Blake. I pray that the author writes more to this series and keeps this narrator.

Which character – as performed by Joyce Bean – was your favorite?

Dorina and Lez-Cezar. Even in the arguing, going from shouting to whispering, she makes it feel like they are right there with you.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes!! The first chapter jumps you right in. Love the way it is written to give Dorina's response to the self defense and Lez-Cezar's problem of trying to rescue a girlfriend that don't remember you but she might kick your butt.

    Any additional comments?

Read or listen to in order. This series I listen to and loved it. This is one I would say that I will keep and am checking her other series in audible. I was really disappointed that there are only 3 books but they are longer. I really hope the author writes more and uses the same narrator. She just makes it all work.

Dorina Basarab is a dhampir - half-human, half-vampire. Subject to uncontrollable rages, most dhampirs live very short, very violent lives. So far Dory has managed to maintain her sanity by unleashing her anger on those demons and vampires who deserve killing. Now Dory's vampire father has come back into her life. Her uncle Dracula (yes, the Dracula), infamous even among vampires for his cruelty and murderous ways, has escaped his prison.

Would you consider the audio edition of Midnight's Daughter to be better than the print version?

    Yes

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dorina. Hands down, take no gruff and if your going to go down take as many of them with you as you can.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scenes are the fights and the interactions with the characters. Her love interest is an all out and alpha male but she don't need him or want him. I found several chapters funny and replayed them over and over.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The dysfunction between "Daddy dearest and Dorina". How she copes and makes no secret about who she is and what she does.

    Any additional comments?

Loved the narator. You just need to keep in mind that Dorina has like a split personality. The book is written in each character's point of view. The best way to keep up, when you first listen or read it, is to give it a bit and she uses the character to explain later what happened. Which for a fictional book makes it more real. Because really if you had a dark side it would ruin it if it was written in Dorina Chapter 1 and then Dorina Vampire Chapter 2.

Where does Conspiracy Game rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    Love the SERIES!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Conspiracy Game?

Sex scenes are nice but I love the plots. The heckling between the twins. The action keeps you on your toes and keeps you wanting more. Briony character is completely believable and she stands up for herself.

Have you listened to any of Tom Stechschutle’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The whole series and hope he will keep going!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When I first listen to this book everytime Briony had to protect herself, I held my breath! The action is written in a way were you are on the edge of your seat and ask for help... 'cause if she dies or looses the baby I am going to loose it.

    Any additional comments?

Yes! If you like fiction and consiperacy theories... a what if the goverment could make the better soldier? Stronger, smarter, faster? What would the goverment right be and what would there rights be?
Even today soldiers are used to further the American Armforces to stay ahead of other countries. I would warn that these books are graphic and love it when the bad guies are taken care of.

What other book might you compare Murder Game to and why?

If you like Bourne Identity you will love this series!

What about Tom Stechschulte’s performance did you like?

He is awesome!!! Oh he needs to do more books. He has one of the rare voices that can carry thru any device. He varies his voice enough that you can tell all the different characters apart and stays with it thru the whole series.
Please do more books. Just love the voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes. When the main character has to relive the "world of blood" on the game pieces, ugh you want the bad guy dead already. Makes for a great cliff hanger and how much mental power or images would be like.

What made the experience of listening to First Drop of Crimson the most enjoyable?

After listening too all the "Grave" book where Kat is the main character, then listen to this one. That way it makes more sense. The narrator was great with keeping the voices to match the characters. You can't miss with this book!

    Which scene was your favorite?

I liked the whole book so I can't think of only one scene but the dancing ball or how she tells him off in his own car was really good.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Look out Ann Rice here is the new vampire tail!

Yes. Provided that you like action and saucey books like 50 Shades of Grey. I like these type more because the have a funny side as well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bones by far. He has a straight forward type of personality and how he gives it to Kat's mother. I laugh so hard I had tears. Sometimes you wish you could do that type of talk to your in-laws.

Which character – as performed by Tavia Gilbert – was your favorite?

I would have to say Menkaries. Sorry for the spelling if wrong (audio not ebook) like really like the voices. Every character has their own sound and she keeps to them for each book. Bones sounds like bones ect on each book. I hope the author keeps with this and just keeps them coming. I can't wait for a new one.

My favorite is the wedding ambush. Nothing like ditching your exboyfriend and he shows up at your friends wedding. Laugh my butt off!!
