Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I totally would. I would recommend the series to a friend. It's interesting and strange and vaguely Russian. I like it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Siege and Storm?

For me, it was when Alina saw Mal in the psuedo-Fight Club. It was probably just as upsetting for me as it was for her. Stupid boy.

Which character – as performed by Lauren Fortgang – was your favorite?

She's an excellent Sturmhand, or the younger prince.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would have if I could have, but alas, I have a grown-up job that requires most of my attention. I listen most in the car.

    Any additional comments?

I really can't wait for the next book. I mean, I also want Alina and the Darkling to just go at it, but I know that can't/won't happen. I hope they find the fire bird.

The capital has fallen. The Darkling rules Ravka from his shadow throne. Now the nation's fate rests with a broken Sun Summoner, a disgraced tracker, and the shattered remnants of a once-great magical army. Deep in an ancient network of tunnels and caverns, a weakened Alina must submit to the dubious protection of the Apparat and the zealots who worship her as a Saint. Yet her plans lie elsewhere, with the hunt for the elusive firebird and the hope that an outlaw prince still survives.

Would you listen to Ruin and Rising again? Why?

YES. It's an excellent ending to an excellent series. It ripped my heart out and crushed it and then put it back together and man oh man, I loved it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I was going to say Alina, but I have never-ending love for Nikolai. He's so charming and lovely, but deep and thoughtful. He's just a good guy and I appreciate that in a story. He just wants the best and is the best.

What about Lauren Fortgang’s performance did you like?

Lauren Fortgang is freaking awesome. She does the russian-esque pronunciations excellently, and she gives life to each and every character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When they figured out the last amplifier, my heart broke and I cried and cried and cried.

    Any additional comments?

I recommend this series to every single person I know who likes reading. I even bought these books in hardback so I could potentially lend them out to people. Seriously, it's just damn good.

Alek and Deryn are on the last leg of their round-the-world quest to end World War I, reclaim Alek’s throne as Prince of Austria, and finally fall in love. The first two objectives are complicated by the fact that their ship, the Leviathan, continues to detour farther away from the heart of the war (and crown). And the love thing would be a lot easier if Alek knew Deryn was a girl. (She has to pose as a boy in order to serve in the British Airforce.) And if they weren’t technically enemies.

The tension thickens as the Leviathan steams toward New York City with a homicidal lunatic on board....

If you could sum up Goliath in three words, what would they be?

    "Barking spiders" and "perspicacious."

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Derryn/Dillion and Bovril. That little loris is adorable with all of its chuckling. And Derryn is just awesome. She's brave and doesn't define herself by Alek and she's just good. Good for her. And in the end, he sacrifices for her and it's awesome.

What about Alan Cumming’s performance did you like?

Alan Cumming is barking brilliant. Accents and inflections and ugh he's amazing. I would listen to him read anything. Man oh man.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would have if I could have, but like many others, I have a life and very important things to do.

    Any additional comments?

I really liked this portrayal World War I. I know a lot of it is not how it happened, but it was really interesting. The clanker vs Darwinism thing was a really cool concept. If only technology was so good back then but man, it's really neat to think about it. I would definitely recommend this entire series. It took me an hour to understand and get what was going on, but once I did, I really enjoyed it.

What made the experience of listening to FREE The Human Division, Episode 1: The B-Team the most enjoyable?

The narration is great. The story is great. It's all great. It's really smart and can be confusing if you don't pay attention, but it is totally worth it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of FREE The Human Division, Episode 1: The B-Team?

One of the most memorable moments is the ceremony with human and these aliens that are just super gross. I don't remember the exact details, but it has to do with like spit or vomit or something. It's great.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I also liked how they found the black box in the middle of space. That was neat.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I don't think it was, but it was only because I do a lot of driving and that's about only when I listen to audiobooks.

    Any additional comments?

I bought the entire book from this short story from it. I haven't gotten to it yet, but I can't wait to listen to it.

One of the best-known stories in American culture, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz has stirred the imagination of young and old alike for over 100 years. Best Actress nominee Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married, Alice In Wonderland), fresh from filming The Dark Knight Rises, lent her voice to this uniquely American fairy tale.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would change the narrator. Good lord, Anne Hathaway is bad at voices.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I guess I was too old for the story. It made me realize how the Wizard of Oz movie and the Great and Powerful Oz movie mixed together almost makes up this one children's book.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Anne Hathaway?

    Anyone else. Anyone. Me. Damn.

Was The Wonderful Wizard of Oz worth the listening time?

I don't think so. I mean, it was only like 4 hours, but it could have been spent doing other things.

    Any additional comments?

At least I can say that I've read it. And I won't have to do it again.

What did you love best about Fire?

Fire is a lot of fun. I read it first, but wanted to hear it again, and I'm glad I did. I love the character Fire and her innate abilities. The whole concept of 'monsters' seems silly and far-fetched, but it is still really interesting. The connection to Graceling is fairly distant, but it is still worth listening to.

What other book might you compare Fire to and why?

I'm not sure I can compare it to anything besides the first and third in the series, and even those have different characters. It's a unique and fun story.

Have you listened to any of Xanthe Elbrick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't heard anything else from this woman, but it was definitely a really good performance.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The tagline would probably be something rom-commy because they would play up the love stories rather than the cool parts of the story.

    Any additional comments?

There is a lot of talking about monthly bleedings that could be left out, but it is what it is.

What made the experience of listening to Behemoth the most enjoyable?

Alan Cumming is the one of the best narrators. He brings life and interest and accents to the characters that wouldn't be there either way.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Behemoth?

All I can really think of was when Dillon/Deryn was messing with the kraken nets. Like, how crazy is that, just in general.

Have you listened to any of Alan Cumming’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I heard the first book in this series read by Alan and he is just excellent.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I like how awesome and strong Dillon/Deryn is. She's just great and is always trying to do her best.

What did you love best about Allegiant?

Love best? This book was ridiculous and weird.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have changed the end of Divergent and set the story on a different course. It had such potential for a deep, meaningful storyline, and it just got weird. I wanted to like it so much, but alas.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I can't think of a favorite part. The only parts I can think of make me mad or roll my eyes. Like, y u do dis, Veronica Roth?

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I may have shed a tear. It was sad. Tobias probably feels bad and he should feel bad. Stupid book.

    Any additional comments?

Don't not listen/read this because of what other people say about it. Finish the series and get your closure. And then burn/delete it and don't worry about it again.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Oh yes, every single person who likes good things should listen to this. It have tons of amazing voice actors along with a really great, fun story. This is and remains one of my favorite books from Neil Gaiman. So much fun.

What did you like best about this story?

It's so different. The first time I read it, it wasn't like anything I've ever read before. Then, to hear it acted out by some of the best actors of the age? Oho yes.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Every scene with Richard and Door/James and Natalie. They just sounded so excellent together. A good energy. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention Anthony Head's performance in this production. I've always known him as Giles, but as a baddie, he excels just the same. Tony Head can do no wrong. Same with Bernard Cribbins. Can you tell I loved this adaptation?

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh, for sure. Even though I've read it a few times and listened to version narrated by Gaiman himself, I still enjoyed myself.

    Any additional comments?

I was hoping this would be available for purchase once I heard it was going to be a real thing. iTunes had the first episode available for download via podcast, but one episode wasn't enough. Thank you so much for allowing people to get this amazing production. 11/10 would recommend.

Would you listen to Leviathan again? Why?

I don't know. It took me a long time to get into it in the first place. Then again, I don't usually re-listen to audiobooks. Takes too much time.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the lack of real love story. There is always a love story, but this time around, it's not slapping you in the face with it.

What does Alan Cumming bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Alan Cumming is AMAZING. Accents and character voices and inflections. So great. I would listen to him talk all the time, especially with a Scottish accent.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh a bit I guess. It was mostly just really interesting. It's a historic story, but also steampunky and sci-fi. It's really weird and cool.

    Any additional comments?

Despite it's initial weirdness, this is actually a really fun, interesting story. I'm going to buy the rest of the series because I really want to know what's going to happen next. It's WWI like you've never read before!
