The narration was good, the story incredible!
I like the fact that Mathew Long didn't cover the fact that at times he had a bad attitude about the situation he found himself in but he eventually found his way. We are not all positive thinkers all of the time as the experts like to tell us to be.
I cried at the marathon. What an achievement.
I do love a self help book. This book had a lot of recycled material. Cut and paste book.
He was fine, it was the content that lacked spunk.
I think so, although I am not convinced. It was a pleasant story but a little boring at the same time. Some chapters were quite drawn out.
I listened to "The Rosie Project" just prior this which made this book seem very bland indeed. It needed more funny moments and a decent ending.
SPOILER ALERT......When his dad died. Horrible man.
Unfortunately it did, as it was wrapped up so quickly. It seemed like the Author had just had enough of writing or it was a ploy to get you to buy the sequel to see what ended up happening to Edward.
The religion. If we eat bad food we are succumbing to Satan. Little harsh don't you think? Gave me a chuckle though.
Not really, but the further information was great. I have already been inspired by Michael Mosely's 5:2 diet which is much more realistic view that fits in with 21st century life and he doesn't preach chocolate is attached to Satan.
This one is in my top 10. Content is fascinating and narrator is great.
I can't compare but this book with any other but it is not just a hypnosis exercise book it actually goes into the how and why working with your subconscious mind works and includes hypnosis exercises.
Knowing that your subconscious is working all the time without you knowing it.
This is a great listen. Rich Roll's journey from alcoholism to endurance athlete at the age of 42. He accounts some great stories and offers listeners a glimpse into his ultra healthy lifestyle, determined discipline and the rewards that has brought him. Worth the listen for sure.
I enjoyed this book and agree with other reviewers, it did start slow. This is a murder mystery story and if you like that Genre I would highly recommend it. Tara Ward did a fabulous job of narrating all the different characters and even using different accents quiet successfully. This made the book a pleasure to listen to. It is a long book about 13 hours but not too long for the story. I would have liked a few more "gasp" or "OMG" moments but I tend to find murder mysteries a little slow for my liking, hence the 3 star overall. A definite must for the murder mystery buffs out there though.
I liked this book and I have read quite a few SH Books. In this book I found some real, down to earth, completely useful advice and patterns that I didn't know existed but proved to be my problem.
The Narrator could have been better, his voice is fine but I wasn't a fan of his delivery. I kinda expected Windy to be a girl so would have liked a girl narrator too.
No, I did not like this book at all.
Anything NOT from this author
I liked that it was only 3 hours long. This book had great reviews from others. I get the higher self thing but I need something a bit tougher than smile and the world will smile with you approach. Maybe I am too stuck in my lower self for this book.
Annoyance....I was waiting for her to breakout into a chorus of Sound of Music.
The no nonsense nature of his approach to running.
Rusty? His mate who ear bashed him all the time. He was raw and real.
No but would certainly do so.
Not really, it was a enjoyable read but not earth shaking.
