    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 28 mins)
    • By Clayton M. Christensen, James Allworth
    • Narrated By Jeff Woodman
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

In 2010 world-renowned innovation expert Clayton M. Christensen gave a powerful speech to the Harvard Business School's graduating class. Drawing upon his business research, he offered a series of guidelines for finding meaning and happiness in life. He used examples from his own experiences to explain how high achievers can all too often fall into traps that lead to unhappiness. Full of inspiration and wisdom, this book will help students, midcareer professionals, and parents alike forge their own paths to fulfillment.

    Jessica says: "Must Read!"
"Nothing like what the title suggests :("
Would you try another book from Clayton M. Christensen and James Allworth and/or Jeff Woodman?

    Probably not

Would you recommend How Will You Measure Your Life? to your friends? Why or why not?

No I would not recommend it unless you own a company, I was expecting the book to be more about strategies to help work out how I want to measure my life.

What does Jeff Woodman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Was How Will You Measure Your Life? worth the listening time?

Nope, nothing of value to me

  • Startup CEO: A Field Guide to Scaling Up Your Business

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 48 mins)
    • By Matt Blumberg
    • Narrated By William Michael Redman

A definitive audiobook for any CEO - first time or otherwise - of a high-growth company. While big company CEOs are usually groomed for the job for years, startup CEOs aren't - and they're often young and relatively inexperienced in business in general.

jesse e. says: "Mind blown, and planning to listen again"
"Every CEO should listen to and read this book"
If you could sum up Startup CEO in three words, what would they be?

    Not just startups

What was one of the most memorable moments of Startup CEO?

    Nothing specific

    Which scene was your favorite?

    Too many to mention

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Some parts of the book were more relevant to my interest than others but nothing specific moved me.

    Any additional comments?

Whether you are a startup or long time CEO from multiple companies, if you don't learn something valuable from this book you are lying to yourself.

  • Pitch Anything: An Innovative Method for Presenting, Persuading, and Winning the Deal

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 12 mins)
    • By Oren Klaff
    • Narrated By Oren Klaff
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

When it comes to delivering a pitch, Oren Klaff has unparalleled credentials. Over the past 13 years, he has used his one-of-a-kind method to raise more than $400 million - and now, for the first time, he describes his formula to help you deliver a winning pitch in any business situation. Whether you’re selling ideas to investors, pitching a client for new business, or even negotiating for a higher salary, Pitch Anything will transform the way you position your ideas. According to Klaff, creating and presenting a great pitch isn’t an art - it’s a simple science.

    Troy S. says: "Awesome"
"Don't be decieved, this book is not about sales!"
What did you love best about Pitch Anything?

This book is way more than that. It covers aspects of business and sales, but the concepts can be used in your personal life too. I bought it because it was recommended by Internet Business Mastery. I loved it even though I do not pitch. I am developing a product and will be using the techniques Oren describes to help me find investors.

One thing I didnt like was the narration. It was boring and tedious and lacked emotion. Weird also listening to someone read exactly from the book without modifying for the audio audience, you will notice what I mean when you buy it. Thankfully the content is brilliant.

Highly recommended this book if you are an entreprenuer or business owner wanting to learn about human nature and how to identify situations where you could produce a better outcome or the outcome you want.

There is also a complimentary monthly membership program that Oren has setup to support any further learnings.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Oren because he has the credibility and done his research to back his findings.

What three words best describe Stephen Bowlby’s performance?

Not that impressed, boring and lacked emotion. Also think when someone is reading a book that is a recollection of the author and you know they are not the author that maybe they should consider modifying the narration just slightly. As with some of the references in the book that don't make sense in an audio.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was really impressed and had never thought of human interaction in this way.
