I am a fan of Nelson Demille and it doesn't hurt that one of the best narrators, Scott Brick reads most of his work online. I listened to most of the John Corey books before they released Plum Island to audio and it was referenced quite often by the author in retro comments. Really pleased with this one and happy I got it. You will not be disappointed if you get this one. Promise!
Not among the best
Actually the main character even though the author thought the monk character stole the book
Yes... Mr Sowers is an excellent narrator... My favorite remains Scott Brick though
Not really... It was good but not that captivating
Yes. It's Demille and Brick. nuff said
I like all of Demille's works. Narration is the key to any story and Scott Brick could read obits in a way that would cheer you up.
Dying priest questioning
no. that last question killed it.
Using sickening events in a way to shock the listener with just gore and unacceptable acts
a good effort
the main villan
nope. Save your credits...
Excellent writing and narration. Characters were all well defined without going overboard. The story was as interesting as it was long. You will not regret purchasing this one. A keeper..
This one dragged on and the narration wasn't anything to write home about. I am still looking for the science fiction audio book that will grab me...
What can I say? I am a big Demille and Brick fan. This one is a really good listen and keeps you interested start to finish. That's what is so good about DeMille. He spends the perfect amount of time on character development and then pushes ahead at breakneck speed...
Bummer. Don't waste your time. This one is a yawner and the plot is predictable and contrived.
Beyond a shadow of a doubt this one ranks as one of if not the best audio book I have purchased over the years. It's the one I keep on my MP3 player all the time so when I finish a new book and I'm "between" books, I fall back to this one... I promise this is King at his very best. I am not a huge King fan but this one is a keeper...
I found this book to be interesting, with some relatively neat plot twists. Good narration helped as well. Worth a credit..
