The detailed account of the John and Kathy Lutz's experience in a home that seemed to be plagued by the devil's minions.
The pace of the story was great. I listen to a lot of true crime with overly redundant writing; so this book was a refreshing change.
I just know he made the book a great audio experience.
A house of horror
I would really like to know how true this account is?
I would remove half of the redundant material and then I would cut out anther 25 % percent of the nonsense and call the book decent. It is beyond repetitive which is not fun when it the characters are so one dimensional.
Nope cannot say I would that would not be nice of me.
Yes I absolutely think the narrator could have been a better narrator.
I would not go anywhere to see this book if it were made into a movie; however I could stand a thirty minute forensic file on the matter.
I was shocked at all the five star reviews, either I downloaded a different version than the rest of the world or something is off here.
No, and the answer is simple I recommend very few books and this one is just okay.
Sure he is decent enough.
Yep narration was fine.
If the case ever gets closed, absolutely.
This book was okay, not bad not great but there.
I have to say I gave up after two hours, I cannot believe the praise this book received as an audio book. Maybe in paperback where one could skip pages it would be decent but never in audio.
I don't know if it is informative, it seems that most people think so. I wanted to hear about the radical Scientology beliefs, but my attention span hated it so much I give up.
Slow quiet boring
I have listened to a lot of non fiction and I would have to say I normally agree with most reviews not this one. If you like to sleep get it and use it for pleasant white noise. Otherwise YouTube has some great ten to twenty minute clips on anything under the sun that is even slightly conspiratorial so hit it up.
Don't tease crazies
Well as this is true crime I can't say I liked anything best, however I did like this account better than HLN's Author Jane Mitchell.
Fifteen girlish okay
Nope, just think if Travis would have followed his own lead being as though he was a " mormon elder" and sex before marriage is a no go he would be alive today. Jody Arias was treated like trash and thrown away and being as though she was crazy this was the outcome.
I wish there was a detailed account of Arias's life for a better understanding of why she was so insane and more information on this case is general. This book is not nearly as bad as 50% of the reviews led me to believe, I followed the case and I think this book was pretty spot on, its the best book on this case out for now.
Narcissists scare me
No however I prefer audio so she did a decent job. Her reading pace is a little fast for my liking.
Over and over again I wonder how the victim missed the signs.
I like true crime but the books are a little slow.
Not the best true crime not the worst. If you like Ann Rule you will enjoy this book.
I love true crime and this is not a bad listen.
I think it would be easier to read than to listen to, it is more historical than entertaining.
Probably the information on the way they kept the prisoners isolated from each other and without any news on the outside.
I think he did a great job in general.
Prison of the mind.
If you are a history buff than you will like this detailed account of Alcatraz and its detailed account of some notorious inmates.
Laural Merlington drives me crazy, she has ruined the listening experience of Ann Rule.
All of her new short story cheapies she is throwing together, ahhhhhhhh.
Make me cringe
Maybe the bank robber story but that is only because I watched the 20/20 episode on these guys years ago, sad story.
I am over Ann Rules hastily done garbage. If Merlington is narrating I am not buying.
Not if you are not drawn to over repetive material.
No, I prefer to recommend books with more substance. This series has lost its ability to charm.
Baker is a pro, he seems to be Mr. Thomas no complaints.
No better books to spend hours on.
I find that Dean Koontz is trying to preach in this series and since this is very out of character for him, it gets old after the first book.
No way, it was very well done, but it made me feel ill.
Is this the same question I just answered, or am I missing something?
No, not that I am aware of.
Stay away from creepers......
This is a truly tragic disheartening story, with nowhere close enough too true justice served, if you have a strong stomach you might like it.
