Highlights of Lesson 2 include: some more basic vocabulary; an introduction to the days of the week; some French numbers; and another quiz.

But now one of the heroes, perhaps the most powerful among them, seems to be losing his mind. The implacable enemy known as Legion has found terrifying new ways of using zombies as pawns in his attacks.

I have been conservative with my five star ratings this year -- so this is a high 4 rating.

I have really enjoyed the Ex- series by Peter Clines. My favorite part of this book was the introduction of Madeline and her point of view.

Fun, enjoyable, would recommend this book. I immediately moved to the next and final(?) book in the series as soon as I finished.

He is seeking a book: the single surviving copy of the Techne Tycheon, a mysterious volume that has brought and lost great fortune for anyone who has owned it. The last record of the book locates it in the San Francisco of more than a century earlier, and on that scant bit of evidence, Penumbra's university has dispatched him west to acquire it for their library.

Hospitals everywhere have to abandon their computer databases when patients die after being administered incorrect dosages of their medicine. In the Midwest, a nuclear power plant nearly becomes the next Chernobyl when its cooling systems malfunction. At first, these random computer failures seem like unrelated events.

Good technical thriller. I believe this book had the right amount of technical jargon and explanation. Pretty good. I am not sure what I was looking for with this book - but not bad.

For narration -- almost perfect French annunciation. Almost comical Russian accent -- especially female Russian accent (narrator is a male.)

"Life changes fast....You sit down to dinner and life as you know it ends." These were among the first words Joan Didion wrote in January 2004. Her daughter was lying unconscious in an intensive care unit, a victim of pneumonia and septic shock. Her husband, John Gregory Dunne, was dead. The night before New Year's Eve, while they were sitting down to dinner, he suffered a massive and fatal coronary. The two had lived and worked side by side for nearly 40 years.

Not sure what was so magical about this book.

I felt very depressed reading this book. I too have grieved like the author. However, not sure if she was sharing her grieving process, or expressing how wonderful her life was and their elaborate lifestyle.
    I was not impressed.

It seems like the characters could be your neighbor or your friend. I liked this book for something that was easy and not complicated. Light reading for the summer, but would be good to curl up by a fire in the winter. There are more books in the Elm Creek Quilt series, and I will pick up another one or two to relax with in the future.

The unique life story of one of the most talented and inventive comedians, star of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Star Trek. However, it is enjoyable, and funny, and has some very interesting characters. It is not too complicated, it helps to zone out after work in the car on the way home. Some great quotes too.
