Eve Dallas is the tough lieutenant hot on his trail, but this is unlike any case she’s ever been assigned - or any killer she’s ever pursued. A police sketch based on eye-witness testimony reveals the killer has green skin, swollen red eyes, goblin ears, and a dislocated jaw-structure that defies the human form. Is it a mask? Is it make-up? Or is the explanation more sinister? Dallas faces off against multiple suspects - all of them students of medicine capable of precisely slicing the ears, noses, and eyes of the three victims.

Where does Chaos in Death rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I just love JD Robb so any of her stories are in my top 25 or maybe I should say 50 now because she has so many In Death titles to choose from.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the science fiction best. Part of me always thinks this could happen.

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

I love how it feels to me she is giving 110% to her performance every time.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It is a short story so yes.

Mare Barrow's world is divided by blood--those with red and those with silver. Mare and her family are lowly Reds, destined to serve the Silver elite whose supernatural abilities make them nearly gods. Mare steals what she can to help her family survive, but when her best friend is conscripted into the army she gambles everything to win his freedom. A twist of fate leads her to the royal palace, where, in front of the king and all his nobles, she discovers a power of her own--an ability she didn't know she had.

This was a good start to this trilogy and Victoria Aveyard's first book. It had great characters. The story and the idea behind it was not bad. We have seen a ton of dystopian books in recent years. I like the idea behind this one and I'm looking forward to what the next book will bring.

It wasn't until the death of her Gran, Adele Hale Stackhouse, that Sookie learned the secret of her own ancestry: her true grandfather was a part-human fairy. Now, for the first time, Adele's long-hidden journal reveals how she and Fintan met - and how they loved. "Love Story" by Jeanne C. Stein is one of 15 brand-new tales contained in Dead but Not Forgotten: Stories from the World of Sookie Stackhouse, edited by Charlaine Harris and Toni L.P. Kelner.

You know I loved the Sookie books until the lost three of this series. I don't know if she got ghost writers or just didn't want to deal with the books anymore. This book was no different.

He was tall, at least six feet, with dirty blond hair that hung over his eyes. His T-shirt read Nietzsche Is My Homeboy. So, that was Matt. Who Julie Seagles likes. A lot. But there is also Finn. Who she flat out loves. Complicated? Awkward? Completely. But really, how was this freshly-minted Boston transplant and newbie college freshman supposed to know that she would end up living with the family of an old friend of her mother’s? This was all supposed to be temporary.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would. It was fun to try to figure out the things behind the characters. They all had a lot going on. Yet I didn't feel like it was to over the top. Something as dramatic and horrible as what happened to this family will make people do funny and strange things.

What does Julia Whelan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You know I simply love her take on Matt.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

So that I don't give anything away I'm just going to say Christmas tree.

Have you listened to any of Susan Ericksen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

It is the same great preform ante she always gives.

For high-school senior Celeste Watkins, every day is a brutal test of bravery. And Celeste is scared. Alienated because she's too smart, her speech too affected, her social skills too far outside the norm, she seems to have no choice but to retreat into isolation. But college could set her free, right? If she can make it through this grueling senior year, then maybe. If she can just find that one person to throw her a lifeline, then maybe, just maybe.

I wasn't should how I was going to feel about this book. A fiend of mine told me about it so I got it because of her. I waited months before I started it.
Written from a somewhat scientific way rather then the folklore or urban legend story. I must say I was very intrigued by this book and what happened to the women (Catherine). It got me thinking and wondering about myself and the people around me.
I would recommend this book. It is short so maybe a short flight so they like that you might need some entertainment/something good to read.

Emma decided to skip the gym and went home early. It was the last easy decision she made because she found her roommate being raped by her boyfriend. She killed the bastard first and went to the one person who could protect her: Carter Reed. He's a weapon

Would you consider the audio edition of Carter Reed to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version, but I usually enjoy the audio version over print. I can't see why this would be any different.

Which character – as performed by Lucy Rivers – was your favorite?

I liked her as all three of the female characters. Emma, Theresa, and Amanda. Each one of them sounds different during the performance. I know that sometimes with multiple females in a performance they can start to sound the same. It did not happen with this performance.

    Any additional comments?

    ***** Spoiler*****
I did enjoy this book. I just wish some parts had been gone into more. Lots of blank areas in the book. I was thinking it was from the POV the book was written in. Carter states some of why he did what he did for Emma but it was never really gone into detail. If you love this women as much as you say you do for that many years I would have thought there would have been more to say about that.
