Liz Talbot is a modern Southern belle: she blesses hearts and takes names. She carries her Sig 9 in her Kate Spade handbag, and her golden retriever, Rhett, rides shotgun in her hybrid Escape. When her grandmother is murdered, Liz high-tails it back to her South Carolina island home to find the killer. But when her police-chief brother shuts her out of the investigation, she opens her own. Then her long-dead best friend pops in and things really get complicated.

What disappointed you about Lowcountry Boil?

I could not get into this book. The story was slow and not at all interesting. I though it might be similar to Mary Kay Andrews, and was suggested to me by Audible based on my past purchases, but it was not at all interesting.

Would you ever listen to anything by Susan M. Boyer again?

    No

How did the narrator detract from the book?

    Narration was fine.

For decades, the Left has been putting on a play with themselves as heroes in an ongoing civil rights movement - which they were mostly absent from at the time. Long after pervasive racial discrimination ended, they kept pretending America was being run by the Klan and that liberals were black America’s only protectors. It took the O. J. Simpson verdict - the race-based acquittal of a spectacularly guilty black celebrity as blacks across America erupted in cheers - to shut down the white guilt bank.

Would you listen to Mugged again? Why?

This was very informative. I like how fact based Ann's books are and Mugged is full of detailed info on the subject.
