Arthur Conan Doyle never wasted time in getting his stories moving. His plots are always direct and refreshingly lucid, and the narrative has a velocity that sweeps you along right to the end. This was no doubt a large part of his immense worldwide success. Not surprisingly, each time he tried to end the series, his fans would howl in protest. But, as he says in the preface to his last collection of Sherlock Holmes stories, all good things must come to an end.

Yes, the stories are really great and the narration is superb.

What does Charlton Griffin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings out all of the characters voices in a wonderful way, and he is a really good entertainer.

John Lee gave such depth to each character. Though I read this wonderful adventure many years ago and loved it, listening to it was all the more brilliant.

Would you listen to Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator again? Why?

Maybe. However, nothing against the narrator, but this book is best read by oneself. The humor found in the book pictures cannot be quite conveyed audibly.

What other book might you compare Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator to and why?

    Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

    Any additional comments?

This book was well read, the narrator was quite animated. The book itself is not quite as up to snuff as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but it is an entertaining read and I'm sure younger listeners would quite enjoy it.

Harper Lee’s Pulitzer prize-winning masterwork of honor and injustice in the deep south - and the heroism of one man in the face of blind and violent hatred, available now for the first time as a digital audiobook. One of the best-loved stories of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has been translated into more than 40 languages, sold more than 30 million copies worldwide, served as the basis for an enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the 20th century by librarians across the country.

I loved this book, it is such a timeless classic. However, the narration wasn't as great as it is made out to be. She can be a bit dull at times and she doesn't really differentiate between the character voices. Also, there is this weird music interlude that comes between the chapters, it was really unnecessary and kinda awkward. All that aside, this is one of the greatest books of all time and I would highly recommend listening to it.

Ken Follett's World Without End was a global phenomenon, a work of grand historical sweep beloved by millions of readers and acclaimed by critics. Fall of Giants is his magnificent new historical epic. The first novel in The Century Trilogy, it follows the fates of five interrelated families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they move through the world-shaking dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hobbit to be better than the print version?

It was really good, I wouldn't say it was better then the printed version. But the narrator did a fantastic job at bringing the characters to life.

What other book might you compare The Hobbit to and why?

Lord of the Rings and/or Harry Potter because they have common elements int their stories.

Which character – as performed by Rob Inglis – was your favorite?

    Bilbo, or maybe Gandalf.
