A great book for those who enjoy hunting and fishing. Wasnt my cup of tea, but I could see others liking it. It make me laugh several times. A book about funny things a guy does as an adult and while he is growing up.

Loved this book. The last 5 hours really sucked me in. I had a hard time putting the mp3 player down to do other things.

I really enjoyed it, even though it says it is a young adult book, I thought it was great - I am at 35 year old woman. It was nice to have some violence but not tons of it.

I am dying to download book 2 but I have heard it ends in a cliffhanger and book 3 has not been released. I will wait for both to be available.

These books have too many recurring things through out all of the series. Starting to get old.

Clouds are brewing over Cadogan House, and recently turned vampire Merit can't tell if this is the darkness before the dawn or the calm before the storm. With the city itself in turmoil over paranormals and the state threatening to pass a paranormal-registration act, times haven't been this precarious for vampires since they came out of the closet. If only they could lay for a bit, and let the mortals calm down. But that's when the waters of Lake Michigan suddenly turn pitch black - and things really start getting ugly.

I did not like this book for a few reasons. I am surprised that its audible ranking is as high as it is. Here are the reasons I did not like this book.

First off, I hate books where someone dies and the character is lamented over and over. This happened in this book. It drove me crazy.

Second off, the end of this book really was a bit too much for me. I dont want to spoil anything for people, but lets just say it was really out there. Yes, this is a book about vampires, so its already really out there - but come on... sometimes things are just a bit too hoaky.

For the most of the middle half of the book, I was sure I would just give the book a one star rating. It seemed the book was in a holding pattern of nothing exciting happening and Merrit being sad about her loss. The end of the story came quickly, despite its extreme unbelievabilty, it did make the book a bit better, because at least something happened.

This brings me to the third thing that bothered me, *this is a slight spoiler* quit messing with the main characters! Last book, you kill Ethan off in a very unexpected way, this time I was equally unhappy. Cant say more than that without giving too much away - dont want to ruin the surprise. :-)

Awesome book. I wish there were more in this series. A great ending - even though part of it you could guess from earlier on. There was a lot of thought put into the last third of the book. It was great food for the imagination. Looking for more like this try the her Mercy series or the books by Kim Harrison.

The severed head marked by a distinctive tattoo on its cheek should have been a Guild case, but dark instincts honed over hundreds of years of life compel the vampire Dmitri to take control. There is something twisted about this death, something that whispers of centuries long past... but Dmitri's need to discover the truth is nothing to the vicious strength of his response to the hunter assigned to decipher the tattoo.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I do like a love scene here and there, but this one was excessive for me. If you are into the Harliqeun Books, this would be a good book for you.

Has Archangel's Blade turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, I will read the next because this was unusual to have so many detailed sex scenes. It just went on and on and on....

Have you listened to any of Justine Eyre’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She does a great job. Didnt like her a first but she has really grown on me.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Archangel's Blade?

Get rid of 2/3rds of the sex scenes. They were boring and drew me away from what I really wanted to hear, the story.

"My name is Kvothe. I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep...."

LOVE this book. I got addicted to it and would listen when I should be doing other thins. If you liked the Game of Thrones series, you would love this one too. Nick Podehl does a great job reading the book. I felt like I was part of the story. I find myself thinking about the series, longing to read the next book (which hasnt be released yet).
