Where does Erak's Ransom rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    One of the best.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Erak's Ransom?

    I enjoyed it all.

What does John Keating bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He does a great job. The characters are all different and distinct. When I think of this series, I can remember just how each sounded. I love the accent.

    Any additional comments?

This series is for the whole family.

Best selling author Terry Brooks became the master of epic fantasy with his legendary debut, The Sword of Shannara. Since then, each new novel in the Shannara saga has brilliantly built upon the world of breathtaking magic, adventure, and intrigue he created. Now in Morgawr, the quest at last draws to its climactic conclusion.

Taking place a generation after The Talismans of Shannara, The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara: Ilse Witch opens with the discovery of a body. Only two people understand its significance: Walker Boh, the last of the Druids and a familiar character to Shannara fans, and the Ilse Witch, a beautiful but dark young woman who wields a potent magic. Thus begins the voyage of the Jerle Shannara in a race to uncover the mystery, which of course includes an unusual cast of characters.

Audible really needs to get the unabridged version. You just can't get a 20 hour book like this one into 3 hours.

Terry Brooks puts too much into his stories to have them abridged. You really need to read the whole book.

Business has been a little slow at the Moonlight Magnolia Detective Agency, but full-figured P.I. Savannah Reid doesn't have time to drown her sorrows in a box of double-chocolate truffles. She's too busy watching the Gourmet Network - and drooling over the sinfully scrumptious confections that Lady Eleanor ("The Queen of Chocolate") whips up on-air. But someone isn't sweet on the Queen's charming chatter - and wants her to hang up her oh-so-quaint apron - for good....

What would have made Death by Chocolate better?

    Less swearing

    Any additional comments?

I couldn't get through the first chapter because of all the swearing. It's a shame that some authors do not have the vocabulary that they have to resort to a foul mouth to get their point across.
