"Good information but a little outdated"

I wanted to start this diet again and had to make a 3 hour total drive so I thought I would get a head start on my reading. This helped but is a bit outdated. There is a new book called "The New Atkins For A New You" that is much better however Audible doesn't carry it. This one tells you not to drink coffee however the new one has used newer research and tell you it's not only ok but can help. However, for the basics and how to get started and even later how to move onto the later stages, it is a very good book.

  • Stories I Only Tell My Friends: An Autobiography

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 11 mins)
    • By Rob Lowe
    • Narrated By Rob Lowe
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

A teen idol at 15, an international icon and founder of the Brat Pack at 20, and one of Hollywood's top stars to this day, Rob Lowe chronicles his experiences. Never mean-spirited or salacious, Lowe delivers unexpected glimpses into his successes, disappointments, relationships, and one-of-a-kind encounters with people who shaped our world over the last 25 years. These stories are as entertaining as they are unforgettable.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I loved this book. Before reading this, I didn't know much about Rob Lowe except the media hype. This book showed how totally real he is and by the time it was done, I felt like I knew him personally. Great book by a very humble man.

  • Terminal Freeze

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 18 mins)
    • By Lincoln Child
    • Narrated By Scott Brick
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

In this riveting new thriller, Lincoln Child weaves together a stunning Arctic landscape, a terrifying mythic creature, and a pervasive mood of chaos and fear. With Terminal Freeze, Child demonstrates why he has become a major best-selling author, and why his novels electrify and enthrall so many.

Lee says: "a gourment meal for us lovers of horror fiction"
    "It's OK."

In my opinion this book was just ok. It wasn't boring but it also didn't keep me on the edge of my seat. I was able to put it down many times without regret. I really don't like this narrarator. But I like a good scary book so I did download Deep Storm just to give them another chance.

  • Wizard and Glass: The Dark Tower IV

    • UNABRIDGED (28 hrs and 6 mins)
    • By Stephen King
    • Narrated By Frank Muller

In the fourth installment of The Dark Tower, Roland and his band have narrowly escaped the city of Lud and boarded Blaine, a train that will take them to, of all places, Kansas, where the ghost city of Topeka has been depopulated by a superflu and where, alongside Interstate 70, an emerald palace rises enchantingly. Before Roland and the companions of his ka-tet continue along the Path of the Beam, Roland must tell his companions the tale that defines him both as a man and hero.

Dan says: "Another Awesome Saga for the Ka-Tet"
    "The Best"

Wow. I read "the Gunslinger" when it 1st came out, but I waited for the story of the Dark Tower to be completely finished because I hated waiting in between for the next book. Then I found Audible and took my time downloading them. I listened to The Black House and realized how much I loved these kinds of books by Stephen King so I began listening to this series. This series has now beat out "The Stand" as my favorite Stephen King book/books. I don't want this story to end...luckily I have a few more books before that. I looked ahead an am disappointed to see that Frank Muller is not the narrator for all of the rest of the books. He is fabulous.
