Since 9/11, Brooklyn firefighter Griff Muir has wrestled with impossible feelings for his best friend and partner at Ladder 181, Dante Anastagio. Unfortunately, Dante is strictly a ladies’ man, and the FDNY isn’t exactly gay-friendly. For ten years, Griff has hidden his heart in a half-life of public heroics and private anguish. Griff’s caution and Dante’s cockiness make them an unbeatable team. To protect his buddy, there’s nothing Griff wouldn’t do… until a nearly bankrupt Dante proposes the worst possible solution: HotHead.com, a gay porn website where uniformed hunks get down and dirty.

Where does Hot Head rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Hot Head ranks at the very top!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hot Head?

    BEST QUOTE/SCENE EVER:
His fingers roamed over Dante, marking his skin with handprints, memorizing it. “This belongs to me. Only me. No one else can have it. Not even you. It’s mine. You’re mine.” <-- Can you just IMAGINE? If that quote doesn’t move you to go get this book, I don’t know what will.

What does Charlie David bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He has a wonderful voice. He brings the story to life with the multiple accents and personalities in the book. Flawless execution.

If you could take any character from Hot Head out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Griff ALL THE WAY! I love him. I understood him. I want to befriend him.

    Any additional comments?

ONE. OF. THE. BEST. ROMANCE. NOVELS. EVER.

I can't say enough about this book. I know some people out there are intimidated by M/M romance novels, and that's a true shame because this book is utterly phenomenal.

Enter Griff who is a muscle bound, red-haired, fair skinned, firefighter who happens to be in love with his best friend, and fellow firefighter, Dante. They've been best friends forever, yet on 9/11, after searching for him during that horrendous nightmare, Griff realized that he had immense feelings for Dante. But Griff is tortured. Imagine loving your best friend, but being unable to tell him. Imagine that ache, that longing, that fear. Well, Damon Suede has created two amazingly complex characters and allows us readers to see, feel, and become a part of that world. I want to thank him for creating a book focused on an every-day situation, and brought life, heart, raw, and honest feelings that you can relate to. Suede is a highly clever writer who uses words, and imagery to set the scene for even the most unimaginative reader. I can’t say enough about this book. I really can’t. I read it in 24 hours, and had no problem for-going sleep to finish it.

Falling for a coworker is rarely a good idea, especially for a man getting a last chance at salvaging his career. But from the moment Dwyer Knolls sees the beautiful but socially awkward Takeo Hiroyuki, he seems destined to make bad decisions. Takeo's life is a string of failed attempts to please his traditional Japanese father. Unfortunately, succeeding in business turns out to be just as difficult for Takeo as changing from gay to straight.

I love love looooooove when a story has the two main characters seem so different, and far removed from one another. Because when they share a moment or a revelation, it's like... pure magic to see them demonstrate their love. I loved the cultural differences showcased in this book, and I just love the idea of 'getting' someone, even when no one else does...

Mary Calmes hasn't disappointed me yet. THANKS for consistently making me enjoy each of your books.

Dating is hard enough. Throw in an incontinent Chihuahua, an unrequited love affair, a severe case of social anxiety disorder, a dying father, and a man-eating hog, and it becomes darned near impossible. Still, it takes two to tango - and when Tom Morgan, a mild-mannered assistant bank manager with a debilitating case of shyness, meets Frank Wells, who is straight off the farm and even shyer than he is, sparks start flying.

I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life. This book was fantastic. I am a sucker for anything funny, throw in a decent plot, and entertaining characters, and I'm hooked. Oh Tom and Frank, I don't know where to begin. I just think they both are utterly adorable. I can't recount the number of memorable moments that lightened my heart, or made me bust a gut. I LOVE FLAWED CHARACTERS. And these two were flawed beyond belief, but in cute, and meaningful ways. Another thing I loved about this book was the idea of comfort... we're always feeling our best when we're comforted by the familiar and such... So when someone who's very UNcomfortable stepping out of their comfort zone, is thrust into an environment WAY beyond his comfort zone, with a jerk named Stanley (I HATE that name. HA) it's bound for some hilarity.

I have to say I wanted more. Thanks John.

I loved Book 3! THANK YOU JORDAN CASTILLO PRICE! I'm really enjoying this series. Vic makes me laugh. However dorky this sounds, I so wish he was a real person that I could befriend. I'm always entertained with how he sees himself vs. how Jacob sees him. I love that Jacob loves him unconditionally. That scene in the hallway... it blows my mind. And I can see how loving someone so much... lets you give them the 'freedom' to do things you would never, ever agree to otherwise. Oh Jacob.

The ending of this book left me happy... that's not always the case when reading/listening to a murder mystery, but I'm in my happy place... all snuggled up. Can't wait for book 4...

I'm always a fan of Cardeno C. I love stories about true mates, so this was a fun treat for me. I really appreciated Mitch's patience. It reminded me of all the little intimacies a couple experiences that don't involve sex. Poor Simon. He'd been through a lot and I think that anyone who experiences such tough life experiences deserves a happy ending.

    On a side note:
I'm a bit upset because I didn't realize that Cardeno C. is giving audio books away to certain brand new readers for reviews. Here I am an audible/ amazon loyal member for years, posting reviews, not engaging in piracy, spending my own money to buy ebooks/audios, and providing honest reviews without receiving gifts. This is frustrating me.

The story has been done before, but I always enjoy Cardeno C. writing. Its a cute novella about a pretty, rich, 'bad' boy who did a little too much bad, and of course gets the 'no money until you shape up', and gets sent off to his sister's ex hubby's farm... and we all know what happens. HEA. Of course. It's a fun listen. And less than $5... Plus I have always enjoyed Paul Morley, so it's worth it... enjoy.

At age 18, Shiloh Raben is tired. He no longer has the energy to deal with mean classmates, inner doubt, and fear of familial rejection, so he takes a razor to his wrist. When he wakes up in the hospital, Shiloh meets Travis Kahn, the EMT who saved him and didn’t leave his side. Travis is handsome, smart, and funny - the type of guy Shiloh would never be brave enough to approach.

Fantastic. I always enjoy Cardeno C's books. This story is no exception.
We start off meeting Shiloh at a rough point in his life. His, luckily failed, suicide attempt leads him to dream about his future self meeting a wonderful man named Travis. Their love comes on hot and heavy and it isn't until he ' wakes up' and sees 'present day' Travis that he realizes the life he could live with Travis by his side.

I loved this story. I have read it many times before, and I was so pleased to see it come to life with Jeff Gelder's voice. I have to admit I cried a couple of times. I feel as though I actually know Shiloh and Travis, and love hearing their 'story' again and again.

It's about hope and receiving the gifts that end up meaning the most to us when we least expect it. I envy their earnest love and assured devotion. And I love thinking that sometimes you just have to wait for that person worthy of you arriving... it whatever form it may be.

Lovely story that I will always cherish. Thanks again Cardeno.

Criss Cross finds the ghosts surrounding Victor getting awfully pushy. The medications that Victor usually takes to control his abilities are threatening to destroy his liver, and his new meds aren't any more effective than sugar pills. Vic is also adjusting to a new PsyCop partner, a mild-mannered guy named Roger with all the personality of white bread. At least he's willing to spring for the Starbucks.

I never thought I would enjoy this series, but I am pleasantly surprised.

I find Vic so very amusing. His inner commentary has me laughing out loud the majority of the time. Gomez Pugh does a great job of portraying a primarily bored, over medicated, wise ass cop. And the accents he puts on for multiple minority characters continues to amuse me. While the 'mystery' isn't very complicated-- I figured out who was involved before the big reveal-- I enjoyed the old gang getting back together-- with the introduction of 'Crash' and his rebel self-- to help Vic.

As a HUGE fan of Jacob, I enjoyed every scene with him. Vic is one lucky man.... and when they finally got their 'bow chicka bow wow' on... I pressed rewind, and listened all over again...

I'm ready for book 3.... BRING IT Castillo Price!!!

I thought I knew what love was… My name is Hunter Willis and I’ve found love. The problem? I’m not sure I’m ready for the rest of the world to know I’ve fallen for my best friend. Everyone knows Max is gay. Me? They think I’m straight as an arrow. So did I, until Max and I shared a kiss three months ago that blew that theory right out of the water. Now, by the ocean in Florida, thousands of miles away from prying eyes, I’m finally ready to admit to myself that Max and I have something special.

I think my expectations were too high because I was really disappointed. For some reason, I thought the two guys were teenagers, not grown men. A lot of the inner turmoil was a bit too juvenile for me, and I found myself getting more annoyed as the story played out.

I felt a bit lost when I realized how completely anti-climatic everything was. And I still don't know what went on between Max and his sister!!! What happened in that conversation? I hate unanswered questions... I liked the happy ending, but didn't feel very invested in their journey. There's nothing special here... at all... so I think it's a story you can skip.

I think that Dreamspinner Press does such a wonderful job at packaging these romance/holiday theme stories. From the Advent Calendar package " Evergreen", comes the story of Adam and Joe.

Adam wakes from a car accident to find himself in the loving care of his roommate Joe. He soon realizes just how much more Joe means to him than simply a roommate.

I enjoyed the story and felt that the author did a really good job of allowing us readers/listeners to understand how hard it is to not love someone when they just might not love you back.

I hope Audible keeps putting these short stories out for us voracious listeners. These stories are packaged 'just right'.

Lieutenant Connor Morgan of SFPD’s SWAT division wasn’t looking for love. Especially not in a man. His life plan didn’t include one Forest Ackerman, a brown-eyed, blond drummer who’s as sexy as he is trouble. His family depends on him to be like his father, a solid pillar of strength who’ll one day lead the Morgan clan. I cannot get enough of the Sinner series. Rhys is Fantastic !!!

    *spoilers ahead*

As the end of Book 2 indicated, This book-- book 3-- focuses on Conner, the oldest Morgan brother, who is struggling with the reality of veering off his very well planned life path. What makes this such an exceptional read is that most of what he experiences, and talks about is very real, and overall very difficult. It takes a LOT of strength and a confident sense of self to defy societal and familial expectations. But if anyone can do it, the Morgan brothers can.

What I love most about this book was the reality of coming to terms with falling for someone so far from your expectations. I think love transcends gender so,I didn't blink an eye, but I loved how Rhys emphasized how scared Conner was to be a disappointment to his family for not carrying out the (hetero) life he believed his family-- most importantly his dad-- expected of him. As is typically the case with the Sinner series, Connor and Forest don't go riding off into the sunset, as usual, we readers are drawn into some type of murder mystery that the Morgan clan helps investigate.

I knew where Rhys was going with this series by book 2, and since I have no qualms about speaking my mind.... I will tell you... Her Sinner's series is about re-birth and re-discovery. Therefore, the new lives that Miki, Damien, and now Forest have with the Morgan clan will allow them and of course (book 4's tortured musician) Raif to come together and re-create a band similar to that of the original Sinner's Gin band.I love each and every one of those soulful and strong musicians, and I welcome more glimpses into their lives.

Oh and lines like this don't hurt either...

" Hey... just the guy I'm looking for... I needed to ask you a question.... I kind of need to lose my virginity, and I was kinda wondering if you could help me out."

Seriously? Seriously? Rhys keeps me coming back for more Sin. Book 4 is on my MUST GET NOW LIST... And after reading this (book 3) and of course Books 1 and 2... it is sure to be on yours.

FANTASTIC READ!!! Credit or Cash... get it!!!
