I needed this info TODAY and am thankful for Audible's double time option. I sat outside and listened and slowed it down sometimes when I couldn't take notes fast enough.
This is life-changing material. Wish I had had it long ago. The difference between shame and guilt. How to be shame resilient... So much here. Just incredible.
WOW! I'm online now to nab the next book in this series. I'm getting to know the characters and appreciate the people, the politics, and the story. Excellent!
I've listened to all of them and each one has been excellent. I believe this one could be the best of all - so far. I intend to buy Book 7 right now!
The book was potentially a good one although not the best of the series. Titus Welliver - holy crap. Maybe he's a good actor (I have no idea), but his narration was horrible. Where, oh where, was Dick Hill? Or really, anyone else? I listened to the entire book on double time.
Oh, my goodness. This was a fascinating book, even though it wasn't what I expected. To have such a personality-driven and layered book makes this one stand out. Christopher Lane did an excellent job with the narration. Because it was slow, which was appropriate, in its delivery, I ended up moving it to double-time on my iPhone. I would recommend this because of how you'll be surprised.
For some reason, this one has sat in my library and I even started it once and never finished it. Until this week. WOW! Outstanding. Interesting, compelling, intriguing, and informative. I've already bought another of Deon Meyer's works on Audible and have it queued up for tomorrow.
I always like to listen to the first in a series when I realize a book is part of a series and I'm glad I started here. I will continue right on to the next one this weekend!
This was a good one and I'm willing to try another. A few parts dragged toward the end but overall, it was good enough that I'm interested in another from this series.
For whatever reason, this one just sat in my library until I finally thought, "Well, I'll give it a try." It was outstanding! I want more of David McCullough's books and Edward Hermann's narration was just right! THANKS for the story and the history.
I certainly kept listening but boy, oh, boy...did I wish there were some likeable characters. There weren't. Overall, worth listening to and I'll read/listen to more of Robotham's books. Going to look for some right now.
The previous two books were excellent but somehow, this one was even better! Apparently Bruce DeSilva is getting better and better and Liam Mulligan and the people around him - and the stories they're involved in - are more and more interesting. Keep writing! THANK YOU for a great story. The narrator is perfect for these books. Thankful they've kept Jeff Woodman for all the books.
