What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

More organized plot, it was a bit to all over the place. T.R Ragen did such a great job with Abducted but lost a lot of steam in this book. Jared one of the main charecters in the first book was barely even a part of this one and when he was it wasn't in a way you would think or enjoy.

Has Dead Weight turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, Still love mysteries and the first book in this series.

Would you be willing to try another one of Kate Rudd’s performances?

Sure, she does a good job at the different style of voices.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    Not really.

Escaping from a madman should have been the end of her nightmare. Instead it was only the beginning...Lizzy Gardner was just seventeen when she was kidnapped by the psychopath known as Spiderman, a serial killer terrorizing her California hometown. Imprisoned and tormented for months, Lizzy narrowly escaped with her life and Spiderman vanished without a trace. But if she thought he would forget her, she was dead wrong.

Sarah says: "Good story but pretty disturbing torture scenes."

What did you love best about Abducted?

The developed characters with a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

What other book might you compare Abducted to and why?

It had the twists and turns of a Patterson or Grisham book.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, really interesting story, but a little sad at how it was all ended. It could have used a fourth book to continue the detail of the first two books.

    All were really well developed

What does Carolyn McCormick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings a nice suspense to important scenes throughout the book

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, but I would have liked a different ending.

Would you try another book from Howard Schultz and Joanne Gordon and/or Stephen Bowlby?

    Possibly depends on the topic

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Not make it feel like so much of a sales pitch/plea from Howard but a more personal story on Howard himself

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    Yes, good narration

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Not Likely

    Any additional comments?

Howard and Starbucks are interesting in themselves, but this book did not do justice for a organization of it's size.
