The Ankh-Morpork Post Office is running like...well, not at all like a government office. The mail is delivered promptly. Postmaster General Moist von Lipwig, former arch-swindler and confidence man, has exceeded all expectations - including his own. So it's somewhat disconcerting when Lord Vetinari summons Moist to the palace and asks, "Tell me, Mr. Lipwig, would you like to make some real money?"

    Jason says: "Another gem."

Thou I am only about a half dozen books into the Disc "World" ( All by the way good listens) I have to say I was very happy to hear more about Mr. Moist VanLipwig. This was a very fast pased and funny story. With more twist and Toppsy Turvy moments than I had hope. Thank you Miss. Pratchett and Audible for the laughs in my day.

America faces a full-scale socioeconomic collapse in the near future. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation cripples commerce and the mounting crisis passes the tipping point. Practically overnight, the fragile chains of supply and high-technology infrastructure fall, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every major city.

What did you like best about Equal Rites? What did you like least?

It took me learning more about Granny Weatherwax before I was able to enjoy this story. So I would suggest listening to Wyrd Sisters and Witches Abroad first to get to know the Granny first.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Given more background to have more sympathy for characters

What does Celia Imrie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I'm just an audio learner and any reading aloud sticks with me more then on the page.

Did Equal Rites inspire you to do anything?

    continue with discworld series

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

If you could sum up Ender's Game in three words, what would they be?

    fascinating, human, driven

What other book might you compare Ender's Game to and why?

The whole Ender's game and Ender's shadow series and side books are an excellent look at humanity.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Remember the enemies gate is down.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

not sure but would love to see a true solid adaptation is done

The planet Lusitania is home to three sentient species: a large colony of humans; the Pequeninos; and the Hive Queen, who was brought there by Ender Wiggin. Once again, the enemy (the Starways Congress) has gathered a fleet and is threatening to destroy Lusitania. Ender's oldest friend, Jane, an evolved computer intelligence, is trying to save the three sentient species of Lusitania, but the Starways Congress is destroying the computer world she lives in.

If you've fallowed the endervers this far, you really should here this one. I'm sure it was Mr. Card meaning, but the further in the endervers I get the more time I spend thinking of the deeper issues of self he raises. This is someing I think only a excelent story that maybe fiction, but contains a grain of real truth can do.

All I can say is this is another well wirtten and preformed piece of the Alvin Maker Story. Thou Mr. Card is clearly a master of novels of all kinds, he gives us here something far better than a Journeyman's piece.

As the cold returns, sinister forces are massing beyond the protective wall of the kingdom of Winterfell. To the south, the king's powers are failing, with his most trusted advisor mysteriously dead and enemies emerging from the throne's shadow.

I read this book first before I listened to it. I really enjoyed the royal politics, and political manuvering, but had to mentaly adjust the ages of the children up 5 years to make it feel more inline with the presant idea of childhood. I Would not suggest this series for younger readers, but have still found it one I've been drawn into.

Andrew "Ender" Wiggin was not the only child in the Battle School; he was just the best of the best. In this book, Card tells the story of another of those precocious generals, the one they called Bean, the one who became Ender's right hand, part of his team, in the final battle against the Buggers. Bean's past was a battle just to survive. His success brought him to the attention of the Battle School's recruiters.

If you liked Ender's Game this is an Excelete addition. I found it added something to see some common evvents threw a second set of eyes. Plus beans backstory made me eger to listen to the rest of the shadow series. Once again great work Mr. Card

In this volume, Elayne, Aviendha, and Mat come ever closer to the bowl ter'angreal that may reverse the world's endless heat wave and restore natural weather. Egwene begins to gather all manner of women who can channel: Sea Folk, Windfinders, Wise Ones, and some surprising others. And above all, Rand faces the dread Forsaken Sammael, in the shadows of Shadar Logoth, where the blood-hungry mist, Mashadar, waits for prey.

    T. M. Fees says: "Narration"
    "Great series Good book"
    Overall

The Wheel of time is probely one of the best book series ever, but A Crown of Swords is not the best of it. Following the fight at Dumis Wells I had hoped we would get a great high impact addition to the series, and we got a good but not great story that added more plot twist and problems that seemed forced in. It is still a good adition to a very complex tale that has me completely drawn in. I just hoped for a little more.
