  • Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism

    Story

In a stunning follow-up to her number one best seller Slander, leading conservative pundit Ann Coulter contends that liberals have been wrong on every foreign policy issue, from the fight against Communism at home and abroad, the Nixon and the Clinton presidencies, and the struggle with the Soviet empire right up to today's war on terrorism.

    Mark says: "A bizarre phenomenon"
"Good Read for Historical Facts Too"
    Overall

I found this book very intriguing, not only because I'm on the same "side" as Ann, but because of the historical facts in the book and the research that went into it. Since I did not grow up in McCarthy's era, I had only heard his name in a negative context. It was good to hear this treatment of him and what really happened in the context of those days.

This was an excellent listen. Every American should listen to this a couple times. Great understanding of what happened before the "60's revolution" and what drove that cultural revolution.

In Steven Pressfield's richly imagined, vividly detailed story, golf legends Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen are joined by a local unsung opponent, the troubled war hero Rannulph Junah. Their match is thrilling competition, but the key to the outcome lies with caddie Bagger Vance, who carries the secret of the Authentic Swing.

Excellent listen. I did not see the film adaptation and don't plan to. May not enjoy it as much if you're golf illiterate.

Netanyahu's points are "soberly and clearly made," says The New York Times, and The Washington Times calls the book "an excellent primer on the groups, motives and methods of the current terrorist threat."

Great perspective from a country leader who is used to terrorism on a daily basis. Listen with the thought that it's his point of view with documented facts, and you'll enjoy it whether you agree or disagree.

Long before September 11, 2001, Steven Simon and Daniel Benjamin warned publicly of a massive terrorist strike against America. They were not voices from the fringe; they had been the directors of the White House's counterterrorism program. Their warnings were ignored. Now they have written the definitive work on radical Islam's war against America, from its deep origins to our long struggle ahead.

Great read (listen). Great perspective to understand where terrorism has come from and where it is going. Authors clearly prefer Clinton foreign policy to Bush (current) foreign policy.
