It looked like another ordinary day in Los Angeles. Then night came...Evil as old as the centuries has descended upon the City of Angels - it comes as a kiss from the terrifying but seductive immortals. Slowly at first, then by the legions, the ravenous undead choke Los Angeles with bloodthirsty determination - and the hordes of monstrous victims steadily mount each night.

I read this book when it first came out back in the 80's. I loved this author. I loved this book. I was sorry it came to an end. I don't remember this being in audio back then. I tried to read any books Robert McCammon wrote. I'm so glad to find his books on audio. When I first signed up for Audible there was nothing by him. I have not listened to this yet but I know I will not be disappointed. The Wolf's Hour and They Thirst are also great!!!!

I read the book back when it first came out. I loved it then. I ordered it to hear on tape. I know I will love it. This should have been a movie years ago. This is one of the best books ever. I'm so glad Audible offers this story. I love Robert McCammon. I know anyone who orders this will become a fan. I think one of his best. I loved 'They Thirst' and 'Swan's Song'. These are my favorites.

I ordered this to hear it again. I had heard this on tape back in the 90's and have thought about it all these years. I enjoyed it then and I know I will enjoy it now. It has a haunting ending. At least I think so. Surprised it never was made into a movie. I think this is worth a credit for anyone who is unsure.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.
