This is the best vampire book ever. I read the book back in the 80s when he wrote this. I loved it then and love it now. Hearing it read by Ray Porter was fantastic!!! He did a great job. I read the book twice. I know I will listen to this again. Love it
I really enjoyed. Good but sad. I had seen the movie years ago. It always haunted me. So glad I took the time to listen.
I really liked this book. Little different from the movie but still great!!!!! I love Ray Porter. He makes this story evern better. Very well done.
Good story. Told very well. Performance was well done. But I thought it would be more about the mother looking and son. This is just more about the son's life. Movie was more about the mom. The main fact of this story is to say that the child was taken from the mother against her will and the mean nuns. Nuns were mean back in the day. Real mean and the Priest too. A shame how babies were taken from mothers because of the times. Glad things are different now.
I enjoyed this story. It is a well written love story that is real. It tell how life sometimes turns out different for all of us.
Interesting spin on the Walking Dead/Vampire stories. So far I like this story. I will be ordering the next 2 books.
I have listened to this book 2 times. Very well written. Ron Perlman read the story well. I was scared!!!!!
I read the book when it was first published. The story is great!! you will not be disappointed. It was written for his daughter. I think he went above and beyond. Stephen is a great writer. I have followed him for years.
I read this book when it first came out back in the 80's. I loved this author. I loved this book. I was sorry it came to an end. I don't remember this being in audio back then. I tried to read any books Robert McCammon wrote. I'm so glad to find his books on audio. When I first signed up for Audible there was nothing by him. I have not listened to this yet but I know I will not be disappointed. The Wolf's Hour and They Thirst are also great!!!!
I read the book back when it first came out. I loved it then. I ordered it to hear on tape. I know I will love it. This should have been a movie years ago. This is one of the best books ever. I'm so glad Audible offers this story. I love Robert McCammon. I know anyone who orders this will become a fan. I think one of his best. I loved 'They Thirst' and 'Swan's Song'. These are my favorites.
I ordered this to hear it again. I had heard this on tape back in the 90's and have thought about it all these years. I enjoyed it then and I know I will enjoy it now. It has a haunting ending. At least I think so. Surprised it never was made into a movie. I think this is worth a credit for anyone who is unsure.
