Elena Klovis was supposed to be her kingdom's Cinderella - until an accident of fate left her with a completely inappropriate prince! Determined not to remain with her stepfamily, Elena set out to get a new job - and ended up becoming the Fairy Godmother for the land. But "Breaking with Tradition" was no easy matter. True, she didn't have to sleep in the chimney, but she had to deal with arrogant, stuffed-shirt princes who kept trying to rise above their place in the tale.

If you could sum up The Fairy Godmother in three words, what would they be?

    strong women...

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fairy Godmother?

When the main character turned to the prince and said.."act like an ass and a ass you will be!

What does Gabra Zackman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Her reading engaged my imagnation.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When choices had to be made.

    Any additional comments?

    A fine, surprisingly imaginative tale.

Every woman wants to be Elizabeth Bennet Darcy - beautiful, gracious, universally admired, strong, daring and outspoken - a thoroughly modern woman in crinolines. And every woman will fall madly in love with Mr. Darcy - tall, dark and handsome, a nobleman and a heartthrob whose virility is matched only by his utter devotion to his wife. Their passion is consuming and idyllic - essentially, they can’t keep their hands off each other - through a sweeping tale of adventure and misadventure, human folly and numerous mysteries of parentage.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

nothing....I was disappointed from the start.

Has Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife turned you off from other books in this genre?

    indeed!

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Rosalyn Landor?

She was unfortunate be the reader of such a novel that lacks any literary qualities..this was a waste of my $.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

one. I could easily shut it off and delete it from my library!
