Charley Davidson isn’t your everyday, run-of-the-mill grim reaper. She’s more of a paranormal private eye/grim reaper extraordinaire. However, she gets sidetracked when the sexy, sultry son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, moves in next door. To further complicate matters, Reyes is her main suspect in an arson case. Charley has vowed to stay away from him until she can find out the truth... but then dead women start appearing in her apartment, one after another, each lost, confused, and terrified beyond reason.

After being murdered by a mystery assailant, navigating his way through the realm between life and death, and being brought back to the mortal world, Harry realizes that maybe death wasn’t all that bad - because he is no longer Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard. He is now Harry Dresden, Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. After Harry had no choice but to swear his fealty, Mab wasn’t about to let something as petty as death steal away the prize she had sought for so long.

What does James Marsters bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    James Marsters is Harry Dresden

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Wish I could have. Hated to turn it off.

    Any additional comments?

Having followed all these characters from STORM FRONT this next chapter of Harry's life was the hardest to listen to. Butcher does an outstanding job with this story. The ending broke my heart. There is the hope for the future though.

Druid Atticus O’Sullivan hasn’t stayed alive for more than two millennia without a fair bit of Celtic cunning. So when vengeful thunder gods come Norse by Southwest looking for payback, Atticus, with a little help from the Navajo trickster god Coyote, lets them think that they’ve chopped up his body in the Arizona desert. But the mischievous Coyote is not above a little sleight of paw, and Atticus soon finds that he’s been duped into battling bloodthirsty desert shape-shifters called skinwalkers.

Would you try another book from Kevin Hearne and/or Luke Daniels?

With hesitation for the writer not so much for the narrator

Has Tricked turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No

What didn’t you like about Luke Daniels’s performance?

He seemed bored and uncertain with the character.
His past performaces in the 3 earlier books seemed as though he was having fun with the charactor. This story was convaluted and not up to par for the story line or the writer and it came across in the narration.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Tricked?

To many off tract story telling scenes.
Seemed like this book was thrown together to fullfill a contract obligation and not from the heart. I'm surprised the editors let it out.

    Any additional comments?

I loved the first 3 books and was thrilled to see this one was out & purchased it immediately.
I would be very hesitant to follow this writer or this story/character in any future books.

What would have made The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack better?

Didn't make it far enough into the story to be able to say.

Would you ever listen to anything by Mark Hodder again?

    unknown

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Spoke too fast. Had to go back several times to hear what had been said.
    Difficult to keep up with.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disapoinment. Not what I had been expecting.

    Any additional comments?

Did not know anymore of what the story was about after one hour of listening than I did after the 1st 5 minutes into the story.
Narrator not clear with different characters.
