When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Would you try another book from E L James and/or Becca Battoe?

If future books by E L James is in this same style and theme, they will not make it to my library.

What was most disappointing about E L James’s story?

What little story was involved was completely overshadowed by the over the top sexual content.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Fifty Shades of Grey?

By the time I was finished editing this book it would be a short story.

  • Ready Player One

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

If you could sum up Ready Player One in three words, what would they be?

    New high score

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was 'H' who lived one life but created a completely different electronic life.

What about Wil Wheaton???s performance did you like?

Wheaton read the book like the adventure it was - fast paced and exciting.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I looked forward to getting back to the book as soon as I could. Because of the references to vintage electronics I kept a reminiscent smile on my face as the story unfolded. This story took me back to the days of dropping an endless stream of quarters in Ms. Pacman.

  • The Alibi

    • UNABRIDGED (14 hrs and 40 mins)

    Story

With sensitivity and insight into the human condition, Sandra Brown creates a forceful psychological portrait of a man in moral turmoil, who must make difficult choices betweenn his personal passions and the demands of his conscience.

Erik Fosshage says: "Another great work by a master storyteller"
    "Great characters and plot twists."
    Overall

This book will keep you interested right to the end. Some times the narration was flat but that did not take away from the colorful characters and tightly wound plot. I thought Sandra Brown's 'Envy' was slight better but only slightly.
