This is a good practical guide for what to do in this economic downturn. I did all the wrong things then when I lost my job I was stuck with no credit card debt but also no cash. Follow his plan and avoid the pitfalls that I find myself in now.
Totally fun listen
Carving a "G" on the bouncers bald scalp
Finding out the Temp ate the "planted cockroach" in the yogurt
Getting the daughter back
It was long so I wasn't trying to figure out what to do until my next credit.
This is a can't miss selection. Good story, interesting characters and good narration.
The Story of Edgar Sawtelle
This is my first but he is very easy to listen to.
Schwartz because he is my kind of guy!
I found this one hard to get into at first especially since it has a flaw in the recording that causes it to skip every so often (not enough that you lose the thought train but irritating none the less.) It does get better on the second half and is good escapism. Would listen again.
This was a bit sophomoric but I enjoyed it and would listen to other titles by this author. I wasn't as impressed by the narrator as he tried to be a bit too folksey. I grew up close to Highland Park and Gimenez pegged the people right on. This was a good way to pass the commute time but not serious literature for certain.
Once again Alex Cross, that Beleagured Black Protagonist, saves the proverbial rear ends of the bumbling establishment. Come on! this guy can't write and his obvious hate for his own race is starting to get putrid. I would rather listen to six hours of Al Franken than another five minutes of this trash.
